Drug testing question.

I had a friend tell me yesterday that he went in for a drug test and it came back positive for cocaine. He says he's never used before, doesn't even smoke pot. He said on his first drug test with the company (big casino down here) that weed showed up and then he retested the next day knowing it was wrong, and came back negative.

I'm wondering is there anything that you can eat or come in contact w/, other than cocaine obviously that could cause this. I told him I think they are either trying to make it so he's not hired or they are fucking dumb. He's certainly not a drug user, not even the type, he's a straight up kind of guy, don't expect him to lie about shit like that. Like he said,"why would I go take the test if i known i did coke".

thats weird because coke has such a short half life that it would be out in 24 hours ,I dont know of anything that would bring that up,id tell them to retest me again and if they didnt hire me id sue the fuckers over it.

retest and tell them to look at the rest of his bg (crimianl record) to show it corresponds with him not doing coke

They told him that if he wanted a retest it would be $85. I said that's fucked up. He's more worried about it being on his record, than getting the job. Yeah i should tell him that, for them to check his police records. I'm sure they do a background check tho, and I don't think he's ever been in any trouble of any kind.

that's for opiates tho. As far i know, only cocaine makes you test positive for coke.
