It doesn't matter how hard they try to get one step ahead of drug users, they will always be a couple steps behind. People want it and use them regardless of what the government does. Fighting poverty seems a little more important to me.

Sure the hardcore drugs such as meth, heroin, crack should be dealt with a little more severely but who am I to say what substances someone can ingest. The same should go for the government. That's not to say that if these users/abusers break the law due to their addiction, they shouldn't deal with the repercussions. I will never understand the war on drugs
