What about Jan tana air brush?

I was at Jr. Nationals and many were disappointed with it....I would go with pro tan....I would use 2 coats of competition color the night before the show and Jan Tana competition color the day of.....

Were you there with bigjew? I talked to him awhile on friday at women's pre judging. I like protan and over the top I used to put dream tan. Now Pro tan has a new product that washes off is made to be used with pro tan and it has its own sheen. My GF used it at the Jr's, looked great and no pam was needed.

What should a medium toned brotha use in this day and age? I use to hit the tanning bed 2-3 times the last week then slap on some baby oil.

I helped Quincy Taylor apply his tan at the Central States and he used Dream Tan #2

I am sitting here convered in 2 coats of Pro-Tan as I type this shit... lol

I plan on applying another THICK coat tomorrow morning...(5hrs b4 contest) and possibly some Jan-Tana 'competition Tan' 2hrs b4 the contest if I am not dark enough (the stage lights WILL NOT be Halogen so I do not have to worry about getting very dark).

Quick Question:

How long does it take you guys to apply pro-tan?
How thick to you apply the coats?
Do you notice streaking w/ the initial coats and that it blends afterwards?

Thanks,
- manickx

Take my advice if your doing a BB comp, and use ProTan the day before(at least 3-5 coats). You may use a small amount of dream tan the day of your comp before you go on........but realize that too much dream tan will make you look soft. Every competitor I know agrees fully with this statement. If you were to do a comp just using dream tan then you'd definatley look soft.

Good Luck

On the Muscle Mayhem website several pros said that you shouldn't use dream tan and that the judges are not placing the competitors as well if they use it. I hope that's not true because Dream tan is so much easier for me to use. - cbeaks
