drawing from the vial question

Is it safe to reuse the same needle just for drawing from the vial? Just trying not to dull the ones I stick with.

Hey bro,
Alot of people here are probably going to tell you not to do it. I usually use the same pin for drawing 2-3 times. Before I store it I fill the old barrel with air and push it through the pin to blow out the left over oil then I wipe it with an alcohol swab and place the cap back on it.

I do the same thing when i'm ready to inject again, I get my new barrel and fill it with 3cc of air then I put the drawing pin on and push the air through it again and finally swab it with alcohol.

It probably is stupid seeing as though needles only cost $9.00 per 100.

Man i wouldn't reuse your pinz!!! Why risk it, pinz are cheap as hell!!

I use the same 18 ga pin to draw for a week or two and never have any problems......I always wipe the top of the vial with an alcohal pad before drawing also.....

Needles are cheap, why risk the chance of infection?

Why not just preload a weeks worth of darts, using the same drawing pin, and then fuggidaboutit?

i use the same 18g to draw my shots. Maybe jsut me but i never had a problem

I think all you reusers are luckly, i wouldnt risk it, its just not sterile after its been exposed to the air for long. Alcohol evaporates!

Ive reused syringe and needle before in the past. 17 years ago it wasnt so easy to get pins as gear. After use i rinsed the syringe and needle with alcohol and then filled the cap with alcohol and put it into a baggie in the fridge. Never had any problems just dull sticks. Lol, now I look at how dumb that was but I must have followed good protocol cause I never even to this day have had a bad inj reaction. Now I only reuse a syringe with an 18 gauge for Liquidex and Reforvit. Still follow the old protocol even so.
