Dr.'s are free to prescribe as they see fit (hence all the BS that is involved in controling this stuff). Obviously once you start stretching the boundaries you might have a problem - but it can get pretty bad before that point is reached. Still, having everything 100% legit is nice. You know exactly what you are getting from your local pharmacy and some insurance companies will cover those drugs i.e. BTG Var back in the day when it was hugely expensive and basically the only thing going with the exception of SPa.
