Dr E. L. Brown

BIG bad man

New member
Do you think Dr E.L. Brown from back to the future made a good car choice, if not what car do you think he should have used...i personally think the delorian was the best choice for a time travel car...but i have heard that some people disagree

Have you been watching I love the 80's too?

I like the point of it not being good in parking lots. Since the doors would smash into the cars beside it while opening.

I think the Delorean is probably the worst car he could've chosen for time travel. He was better off with a Honda Accord, Ford Mustang, or a Camaro/Firebird. Deloreans were produced for a very short time, and if it ever broke(e.g. busted taillight, windshield, bent rim), you'd have to go back to the 80s every time to find replacement parts for it. Mustangs, Camaros, and Firebirds have been produced for years, and they are still producing the parts for the classic versions of these cars, so parts are still not hard to come by even close to 40 years after these cars were made. Given the choice between going back to the 80s or 2003 to get my time travel car fixed, I'll take 2003. There was no useable internet back in the 80s to locate parts dealers.
Not only that, but a Delorean is a very conspicuous car. It attracts too much attention, which is why I'd rather throw my jiggowatts up in an Accord.

He should have picked a 84 cutlas on 24's. Put a system and so drolics on that son of a bitch and he could pull hoes in any decade. Just my .02c.

Um....

On the scale of time travel, that doesn't pan out.

Go more than 50 years in either direction, and any car choice wouldn't find replacement parts. It'd be either discontinued and salvage parts would be too deteriorated from age to be useable, or your needed part hasn't been designed for your vehicle yet.

I never got the whole gasoline thing of the 3rd movie. He get's Mr Fusion from the future (it survived the lightening bolt  ), but he still used a gasoline engine? I'd think if they could make cars fly, they'd not be on internal combustion anymore.

the main reason why the producers of the films wanted a delorean is because it most likely resembled a spaceship.that's what i heard.
