My current diet consists of the following:
turkey breast
egg whites
fish (tuna, salmon,occassional sushi)
chicken breast
cottage cheese
whole wheat bagels/wraps
vegetables (no carrots, very occasional potato)
wild or whole grain rice (sparingly)
lean red meat (93% lean or greater)
protein powder
I'm cutting now, so the calories are 2000-2500 with carbs under 100 grams per day. After the initial massive loss of water and glycogen, I'm holding steady at about 2 lb loss per week. I don't follow the scale too much, I go by mirror feedback.
The only difference between this and my bulking diet is the protein is a little less and the carbs are much more, about 400-500 g per day. That's actually very little for someone my size, but no matter how hard I train and how much gear I take, anything more than 600 grams of carbs per day for an extended period of time is too much. I also have more cheat meals when bulking and do less cardio. You need to listen to your body. Everyone's different. Jay Cutler eats 400 grams of carbs during his pre-contest diet, and over 1000 in the off season. If I ate anywhere near that many carbs I wouldnt be able to tie my shoes from the bloat and I'd be so tired from insulin spikes I couldnt function, let alone train.
But just remember, diet is everything as far as aesthetic results are concerned. You can hop on a gram of test and blow up like a balloon but without a clean diet you will look terrible.
