Dostinex... anyone?

anyone heard of this...???

RECAP: had my primary check my testosterone levels... they were 99... took them to an endocronogist who did another test... testosterone was 868 and prolactin was high... had been self medicating with 125mg week of test enanthate and 250iu hcg eod... he told me to stay off everything and two weeks later did another test and prolactin was high...

He now wants to do an MRI but regardless, sounds like he is going to put me on a pill called Dostinex that will bring down the prolactin level and in turn return my testosterone levels to normal...

has anyone heard of this... I have been feeling like shit for the last 2 weeks and not looking forward to another week or 2, and ready to start self-medicating again!!!!

Ok this is the third elevated prolactin this evening, which I am finding a bit unusual and disconcerting.

Same advice as I gave the others, make sure your doctor does a macro-prolactin test.

The elevated prolactin may not be due to a prolactinoma.

My concern is that AAS does affect the HPT or hypothalmic-pituitary-testicular axis..............................

I wonder if this is one of the side effects or if there is something more to this.

thanks, I am responsible for 2 of the threads... the other one just must be a coincidince... My question is... if my prolactin is high, then dostinex will be prescribed to bring that down... however, my test will most likely not get back into the mid-high range without exogenous testosterone... Is it ok to take both of these together?

I think you need to tell the endocrinologist that you have been self-medicating, as I suspect that the elevated testo and prolactin is a result of this.

You really do not want to throw in another med that you do not need, all drugs are metabolised/broken down in the liver, as are all the sex steroids, testosterone being one of them.

Before you know it, you will have a messed up hormone system and a deranged liver function test as well.

i laid it all out on the table for the endo the first day I met him... this is his treatment protocol...

If the endocrinologists prescribed it and he knows about your use of testosterone, it SHOULD be safe.

However, doctors are not infallible, have you read the contra-indications on the package insert?

I think I am going to have to get a copy of the BNF for home use.

How old are you?

How many cycles have you run?

Have you used Deca?

Yup, ran the generic Cabaser form of it during a cycle. Works great to keep prolactin at bay.

awesome... glad somebody on here can endorse it... so are you still on it or did you discontinue after your prolactin came back down? What problems were you having with high prolactin that made you get on it?

I ran Dostinex w/ my last cycle and I love it. I last longer in the sack and it feels like I can control when I'm going to finish. The cycle was Sustanon/Tren/Winny w/ a little Dbol at the beginning and I was a horny sone of a bitch. If you don't understand this do some research on prolactin and how it affects your body.

I don't know anything about it restoring test, but it works great to limit prolactin when using compounds like Tren. GOOD LUCK BRO!
