Dose of r-ALA Pre/Post-workout!

I will be taking r-ala continuously while I am bulking. I eat 6 meals a day with about 100 grams of Carbs in each meal. I will be taking 100 grams of r-ala with each meal. I hope that is the appropriate dose.

How much of r-ala should I be taking with my Pre/Post-workout shakes?

Note: My pre-workout shake contains 25g of protein powder + 35g of fructose/maltofern/dextrose + 5g of creatine monohydrate.

Note: My first post-workout shake consists of about 70g of a mixture of carbs + 25g of protein powder. 1/2 hour later I drink a protein shake consistng of 50g of protein.

Also, is r-ala supposed to be cycled? Is there a formula one could follow to know how much r-ala should be taken with "X" amount of carbs?

preworkout looks like 1 or 200 mg would work........post w/o maybe 300mgs. i usually took 200 mg w/ a similar pre w/o drink and around 2-300 mg with a similar post w/o drink.
 
Hey, thanks Warbird...what are the logical benefits of taking a little more post-workout then pre-workout....in other words....how does r-ala work on your body during and after the workout?

Anyone know?

Thats a pretty high dose there if its R-ALA......but if it works, hey.......would be expensive though. and supermansB, you take more ALA/R-ALA post workout since your taking in more carbs at that time. more carbs=more ALA. i tell you what though, i tend to not take ANY ALA immediate post w/o. i take in a shake (surge by biotest) that should spike the insulin...which is what i want...so i leave it alone. but the 2hrs post w/o drink i take like 800-1000 ALA or 400mg R-ALA with that. There is like 100 carbs in that drink. like i said, preworkout i take like 30 0r 40 carbs....so 200 of R or 500 of ALA works well for me pre.
 
Been doing some more reading on r-ala. It seems that the average daily dosage of r-ala is somewhere between 600-1200 mg. The lowest dose is for diabetics. The highest is for the fellas that don't mind spending their $$$.

Anyway, I did some re/thinking...should I continue taking 100mg of r-ala with each one of my meals (consisiting of 100g of carbs + 50g of protein) or increase it to 200mg? Are there any benefits to the increase or not?

Also, I found several threads on guys boasting about their use of 500mg and higher of r-ala postworkout....and how it makes'em feel it! So, is this just placebo talk or is there a benefit to such a large postworkout dosage?

no its not just talk. you do feel the pump and you get increasedvascularity. i would atleast take 600mg a day if you want to maintain. my2cents
