Dosage: R-ALA vs. ALA

What would be the equal dose of ALA compared top R-ALA? I currently use Vitamin World 100mg ALA caps...3 a day split with my bigger carb meals. It's fairly cheap when I wait for a BOGO sale...240 100mg caps for $25. Trying to determine if it's worth switching to R-ALA which is more expensive but doesn't require nearly the same dose.

Generally speaking, 300mg ALA is equivalent to 100mg R+(ALA).
