Ever see the Coen brother's film, Fargo? I think Stefka is referring to the inflection people of Scandinavian ancestry give to certain words. I was born and raised in Minnesota, am full bloodied Irish and wasn't aware I parroted, 'yah okay then' and other area affectations until I moved west and people would remark, 'ah, Minnesotan'.
