If you had a choice is either of these better than the other:

cyber rights
annonymous speech
safe-mail

i need to pick one, is it a matter of personal preferance or do you guys have any advice on which is best?

also, the free versions are not encrypted, you have to purchase an account to get secure mail right?

A lot of good bros have told me that safe-mail is decent, its free and encryption is included.

nice name lol

Get a copy of GPG and the Enigmail plugin for Thunderbird to hook it up. Do your own damn encryption.

You can ask Hush for the other party's GPG/PGP public key and Enigmail will work with that just fine.

No matter what outfit you go with, there's no fix for "rubber hose cryptography," the time-honored process of beating (or frightening) the passphrase out of the guy you're writing to.

You want to know the most important formula in dealing with encrypted email? Take the smaller of your IQ and that of the person you're writing to. Say, yours is 110 and his is 90. 90 is how smart a Fed will have to be to get a judge to sign a warrant.

If yours is 140 and you're writing to someone with an IQ of 80, the Fed will need an IQ of 80. See how it works?

If your going to pay

1-annonymous speech
2-securenym.net

Free-safe-mail.net

yeah, but i guess what i need to know now is is there any benefit to paying to use one such as annonymous speech versus using a free one such as safe mail?

in other words, just because you pay, is it any safer on my end to use a pay one rather than a free one? i understand the part about the reciepient being a major factor, but is it being a free or pay service a major factor?

I believe thunderbird is the email program for mozzila FIREFOX. Firefox is software that you can use to surf the internet like intenet explorer or netscape.

It is supposed to be more secure than explorer.

someone should make a sticky on internet security that would be great. i would surely unload all 500 point of my karma into his account :)

safe-mail.net or one of the .ru mails
due to server locations, none of rest would be advisable expecially cyber-rights and hush

good luck to you
