In a few weeks, cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing
companies and you will start to receive sales calls on your mobile phones.
Call this number (888-382-1222), from your cell phone. This is the national
DO NOT CALL LIST. It blocks your number for 5 years.
 
That's another reason not to get a cell phone. ;)

On a related note, people need to be careful when they buy something or sign a contract that it doesn't include the right for their telemarketers to contact you. I found out that some sales contracts have it in very small type that they can call you. :smash:
 
I specified I didnt want my details shared when i signed up for my mobile. I always do as im very particular about someone else making money from my details, if they do I want a cut!

someone called me trying to sell me a new phone contract with info only my mobile company could have known. Lousy fucks! everyone should dial that number
 
I just registered. Thanks a lot!! Any salespeople call my cell phone and they are gonna get a good verbal thrashing. I've got to pay for these minutes. My damn work calls on it all the time. I'm about to put a stop to it.

is ther anything that is ours anymore i mean 12 calls a day to ur house now I have to pay airtime minutes for some asshole to call me when i am at home and when i am in my car do I ever get away from these people

heard on the stern show this AM that there isn't any push to release phone numbers to telemarketers. they referred to it as a hoax. i don't know the details, so this may or may
not be relevant.

we've both started getting calls from telemarketers on our cell phones. what's fucked up is we NEVER give out our cell number unless it's someone we know personally or it's on emergency contact forms, and even then the cell number is the alternate number.

i got ticked when the insurance company of the guy that hit me last week called me on my cell phone. i gave my home phone as a primary number, cell as an alternate, and they said they made a note in the system that the home phone was primary contact number. dumbasses called my cell first.

Fergie- I was told no,but a friend of mine got a call on her cell last week ,that she had won a trip to such and such blah blah. so lets hope it was just a fluke
