I was referring to telling people you are from Germany. If someone asks me where I'm from I say US. Otherwise I say my ancestors are from Wales. Your post came across as being a die hard Obama supporter. They're just as crazy as the "birthers"

I am sure I have voted in more election than anyone here other than DB's and have never voted for a Democrat for President, including the current one.

However, I think the Republican party is in dire need of a change-over. Too far in the religious right. Candidates that can't get through the primaries because of social issues, can not win a popular vote.

Then you have douche-bags, like Donald Trump, that can't do anything but focus on trivial issues while there are MAJOR problems with our Government, tax code and run away spending.

Now you have an incunbant President that is way more Centrist than when he started who is still going to get all the Democrat vote and we have come up with nothing appealing as an alternative.
