Anyone do full DC training or implement things that are commonly done in DC (ie- staic holds, rest-pause, extreme stretches, high protein, beating the logbook, ect) The people Daunte trains have had amazing results but i don't know if I have enough experience to do it. I've tried the stretches and it seemed to help. And his phiosophy of "the greater the stregnth gains is the one who makes the largest muscle gains" seems to be a sound idea. Just wanted to know if anyones implemented any of his ideas or techniques. Thanks.

I am on the last week of my first blast and I love this training method. There are a few good bros on here that have a lot experience with this type of training, namely Hardrock and CEO. Hopefully they will add their 2 cents.

Great! Good to hear. I got on intensemuscle and they said I was too young. I really want to try it soon but I don't want to screw anything up due to lack of experience.Intensity isn't a problem. I'm a big fan of Ellington Darden's and Yate's HIT styles. This is especailly attractive to me seeing the progress of the ectomorphs doing DC. I'm a classsic ecto. 6'3", 183 lbs with a few year of forcefeeding and training, with short muscle bellies and long tendons.

How long have you been training and how old are you? I have not exhausted all means of training yet, as they say to do before trying this program, but I have been around the block. I think as long as you follow the program as it is intended and eat every meal like it is your last one then you will be fine. Just watch for the signs of over training, and cruise when they start to show up.

extreme stretching followed by flexing that muscle group for 60 seconds has had a nice impact on my density.

dc training is not for newbies and beginner/intermediate trainers. be careful. i had a few injury issues and have 19 years experience.

I'm 20 years old have have trained for about 5 years, but was off for a year and a half (not included in the 5 years) and just got started about 9 months or so with real workouts. Wasted my first 3 years on double splits, marathon workouts, and mag article workouts that "the greats did". I want to try Omegas project first I think, but definately want to give DC a serious try. I already started the logbook, and think the stretching helps, so Im going to try it on some, skip it on others and write how it feels, then go back to look on it.

Try this for about 6-8 weeks and give 110% best effort. Review your logbook at the end and take a good look @ yourself at the end.

If you are not 100% satisfied, then I would heartily reccomend Omega's project to you. I am just starting it, and I can tell you there hasn't been a single member who has not made tremendous strides in little to no time.

I can't go into much detail, but I can tell you that a lot of what he reccomends is in stark contrast to what is available anywhere and everywhere online. You will gain a lifetime of knowledge in just a few weeks.

Good luck to you :artist:

Given this info, I would recommend taking more time "getting back into things" before hitting up DC just yet. However, I like that you are keeping a logbook!! I would recommend implementing some other DC techniques like the extreme fascia stretching, and defintely increasing your protein to 2+ grams per pound of bodyweight.

I would hold off on doing rest-pauses or static holds just yet. I would also hold off on doing the mega 100%+++ intensity now too. Maybe go with two working sets at a little lower intensity, or do a 5x5 (madcow) style program for a while till you stop increasing the weights before going full DC. DC even recommends first timers who don't really know their body's recovery abilities 100% to not do the rest-pauses and statics at first.

Thanks. OMEGA is supposed to get back to me today. I figure I might give it a try after his project. I'm just about sold on it, and will probably start on the 1st. He has produced amazing results, no doubt. Hope to be another success story. I'm already pumped about it. I plan on keeping books on both workouts and my diet. Already bought them. lol

Thats the only thing I ever really got from muscle & fitness. In one someone said "if you need to do a 1RM to guage you progress, you're either clueless or your routine sucks." Started a logbook like a week later. lol Sound fair enough. I can readily say I'm not in my best condition yet. I'll hold off on DC for a while, and will decide if I should try it after OMEGA's project. I'll be in better condition, then after the project I'll likely be ready to do a blasting phase. During the cruise phase I can compare and contrast the logbooks and see what seemed to work for me. If both do work well than I could just keep switching between the two periodically. This would allow very solid workouts, good gains, and prevent staleness and burnout. Maybe even blend the two for 4 weeks and see what results I get.
