I know that this sounds stupid, but my two little dogs will go out in the yard and they will chew on the acorns. They are OK as long as they don't crack the shell, but once the shell cracks they get sick and start throwing up.
Is there any way to get them to stop trying to eat them?
I tell them no and pop them when I catch them trying to eat them, but they keep going back to them.
I think they see the squirrels eating them and figure they must be good.
