im changing up my routine at newyears
i plan on sticking with more compound movements since i still have alot of fat to get rid of
i plan on adding a day to the split so i can concentrate more on the exercises i do, (kinda felt overloaded, doing more different exercises) not to mention the 2 hours a day down in the basement was getting boring
ok so here is what im thinking

mon
shoulders + chest +arms
military press or bench *alternate with each on shoulder and chest day
dumbel curls
upright barbell row

tues
back + abs
lat pulldown
stiff legged deadlift
bent barbell row
weighted decline situps

wed
legs
deadlift
sqaut
ham curl

thurs
same as mon

frid
same as tues

sat
same as wed

sunday
sweet sweet rest

so thats what im thinking so far but am completley open to suggestions
in spring leg day will be replaced with a plyometric workout routine (trying to increase my vertical leap for basketball)

any opinions?

Looks good for your goals. Just a few ideas:

If I wanted to improve my vertical I would add jump squats and push squats and. In the spring drop the deads add the polys but keep the jump and push squats.

For shoulders I believe clean and presses are the absolute best for size and combine upright rows and military press saving more time.

One of my favorite excersises is pullover situps on a decline bench. Use a heavy weight touch it to the floor behind your head, swing up bringing the weight over the head and to the front in a fluid motion over the situp. This is a great addition to pulldowns/pullups.

I would do squats (jump/push squats?)/ ham curls on one day and Deads/straight leg deads on the other.

never tryed the i will go down later today to see if i can actual pull some of this off
i cant do cleans sadly
because of height limitations of my basement
i need to save up and get a gym membership sometime in 2006

after yesterday i decided to drop the bent barbell row from tues
it felt like if i concentrate on the lat pulldown hard enough i was getting the same workout from both and i dont want to get myself overly sore

at five sets and low reps the workout took almost 1 h 45m with two people doing it
it felt like it worked me great
im still a lil sore today but not too bad
the stiff legged deadlifts realy worked my lower back hard, its somewhere i never realy focus on but now i see it as a weak link and i will put more effort into it
