Does this OTC drug work to sleep?

i take it sometimes to sleep and it does work..but man i feel like crap the next day...dont even think about it if you cant get 8-9hrs of sleep..

i mean try it out one night....take 1 pill and youll pass out like 30-40 minutes later...but try it on a night where you can afford some extra sleep...maybe it just the way i react..plus im not much of a morning person...its extra hard no matter what to get outta bed....good luck....also what i use most times i cant get any ambien is tylenol PM that works great...and none of the hang over feeling...ambien is god..or valium or xanax....

Most of your over the counter sleeping aids are just a basic antihistamine. Whether you choose Benadryl or Tylenol PM you will still get getting the same drug which is the histamine-blocker diphenhydramine. Yes, it usually does make most sleepy as all hell, but again you do not get a full nights rest you will still be sluggish the next day. I would only use if you know you're going to get a full nights rest.

I use unisom when I have to....Try it about 30 45 minutes before you need to be asleep...

I wake up feeling groggy on unisom. The only day of the week that the problem occurs for me is Sunday night. Why? Well, because I wake up late Sunday, but then have to be in bed by 10:30pm the latest to then wake up at 5am. And when I do go to bed at 10:30pm...I'm not sleepy! I don't fall asleep till like 1am! The other days of the weekday are no problem. I guess because I go the gym very early and work hard at my job. This at night time, makes me sleepy and tired and therefore I fall asleep.

I use unisom but it can leave me groggy, I kinda favor it because it has no pain medication in it though. tylenol Pm all the time probably isnt that gooood.

Ok guys! Seriously. I need to know now because I'm going to the store in a little while. For MY situation ( please read carefully what I said ), what should I use for Sunday nights ONLY?

No and it might be a bit too strong for your needs. If you could get in bed a little earlier then it might help. I have to have at least 6 hours of sleep on it. It knocks you out very fast so that might help. Ask your doc

Melatonin gives me freaky nightmares, until i awake screaming.

Kava Kava is gold.
If you feel groggy on benadryl upon waking pop a no doze tab the caffine will perk you right up-goes great with coffee & Dbol.

flex diesel is right, if you insist on using this drug buy the store brand antihistamines and save yourself $$. but as a sleep aid this stuff is useless. all it does it dry you out (hence it's use as an antihistamine) and make you groggy. groggy, however, does not equate being a sleep aid.

if you really need a sleep aid just get a prescription to ambien. your health insurance will cover it and it is effective. if you don't have health ins just find it online somewhere.

Bad advice. Do not take Ambien. Highly addicting and not something to be taken lightly.

Stick to the basics: 5HTP, melatonin, valerian root, kava kava, and l-theanine.

anyone know where i can get trazadone w/o a prescription? I don't have the time to book an apt with a doctor, wait in a room, go talk to him, get a prescript, pay $20 for the visit, blah blah blah.

i disagree. not addictive unless you let it be. psychologically maybe.

ambien is in a newer class of sleep aid drugs that do not have the same physically addictive characteristics of older drugs classes of barbituates and benziodiapams. i have used ambien for over two years when needed and never had withdrawal problems. i take from time to time and can go weeks without taking one.

Same here. I can take it or leave it but Simply Sleep by tylonol works just as well for me and is cheaper than my co-pay for Ambien. Both work but I'm all about $$$. I also take meletonin. I like the dreams and it's dirt cheap.

I used Simply Sleep by Tylenol this past Sunday. I dropped both tabs at 10pm and at 11pm I got into bed. I think I knocked out immediately. Woke up at 5am feeling fine! I love them.

simply sleep huh? Gotta try that.

i'd use trazadone. but i don't know where to get it easily. why would they make a damn good sleeping pill prescription??? Why does the gov't always make the good shit that works out of the reach of the general public. That, along with J-Lo -- i'll never understand.
