thought of a new way of lifting - maybe it's been mentioned before but dunno.

anyway what do u guys think of this method.

doing a *REALLY* slow movement so that it takes like a whole minute to do each movement (both ways so if ur benching it takes 2 minutes for each rep - one minute pushing the barbell up, and 1 minute letting it go down.)
 
well, you do need to go slow...but that's to slow.....you'll be to worn out by the time you hit your second rep if your doing moderate weight and you need to get the full range of the motion.
 
well it just seems like it might be a good idea coz u get the benefits os sustained dynamic tension as well as muscle contraction.

not thinking of this as a total replacement but maybe it has some uses ? pure speculataion - i'm very inexperienced at weight lifting and have limited scientific knowledge.
 
you'll probably get an influx of lactic acid build up quicker that way before u stimulate and overload the muscle fibers
