Does the future make you sad and what about it does

if my mom dies i will have to take care of my handicapp sister who will go crazy when she dies. My athletic career is about over unless i get better in my 30's. Not sure if competing in 35 and over compeitions or striving for the senior tour is something i want or would enjoy. plus you sure can grow old quick with lifting. Ive been doing mentzer hit for almost ten years. Where have the days gone.

The time speeds by as you get older. The future is unsettling in many ways. Sure won't be be able to do the things we used to be able to and that sucks.

Enjoy your young years while you have them.

there are many things terrifying about the future, but the worst of them all is the notion that i shall be there to see it.

Brother, it breaks my heart. I'll be forty soon and I've lived long enough to see great suffering and I know there is much to come. I've cried many tears. I have loved and lost and loved and lost again. Everytime it takes a piece of your soul. All I can do is lean on God for mercy and hope for the same for everyone. I know it's a pipedream to some, but I hope that on the other side of the rainbow, all we will experience is laughter, love, joy, and peace.

Once I denounced my life as being utterly valueless, I dropped most of my vexation for a bleak future. I just go with the flow.
If I'm here tomorrow, I'll go wid' it, if I'm gone...don't matter.

Everyone of us will a) get older and b) die. Why worry about something that is bound to happen? Not saying that you shouldn't plan for the future and/or be concerned about possible speedbumps in the road, but shit is gonna happen either way. Why not take that energy and put it into finding a solution?

Some days are better than others bro. You`re just going through a down time. Keep your head up.

I worry about my child and wife if I leave before they do. I seem to keep them happy while I`m here.

I`m not afraid of going though. I think once you`ve conquered the fear of dying, you`ll be much hapier in life.

As depressing as it is, I'd have to agree with most you guys.

We go thru life expecting some 'fairy tale' happiness, but in reality all it is is heartache and misery with a rare, occasional good moment thrown in.

Sadly MANY people think someone`s gonna come knocking on their door with a nice present for them and some fun activities to do. That will NOT happen bro. You gotta get up EVERY DAY and MAKE life happen, not LET life happen to you.

Do it.

What are your plans for today? ......................

Well, do something about that and make today something worth living. Do it! you fucker!

Ive learned to embrace the good and bad as part of life and as far as my personal life is concerned I look forward to every day.

As far as our civilization.. yes Im scared.. I feel our government is moving towards a socialist tyranny and that we will only become slaves to it.

yeah I know I've posted this in the past month, but it fits here again

God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact.

The people learning that fact are the older people and they die off and the younger ones start it all over again. That`s where teaching from older to younger, or experienced to non-experienced comes in.

Honestly, the only thing I have scheduled is to take a dump around 2:00.

Ha, but seriously since you asked....I have a Halo LAN party set up for tonight. Work out in the morning then it's off to Knoxville all weekend to hang out (the Angelina Jolie lookalike may be going). Sevendust conceret Sunday night. Softball all next week. Then another football weekend in Athens next weekend to watch UT/UGA play.

Keeping busy is all that keeps me going right now.

Life still sucks.

=> I agree here bro: "You gotta get up EVERYDAY and MAKE life happen". And what an encouraging, inspirational and positive statement that is.

However, there is something about it that I'd be lying to myself if I simply look into the mirror and told myself that because deeply... I feel it.. I sense it and I am aware of it (no matter how much I lied to myself) that some doubts are lurking within me.

I don't want to have to go on about the misery and ugly sides of life, the inequality, unfairness, the predetermined factors that are beyond our abilities to change, the paradoxes of life..the nature of life that is.
