Does the flap of a butterfly's wings in Brazil set off a tornado in Texas?

I got this off of the Stile Project

You may not think that an event that happened in another country or place will effect you, but mark my words it will. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. All people are connected in one way or another. Whether it is through social acquaintances, government affiliation, financial networks or otherwise, we all will suffer when a place that is considered to be free and liberal is smashed by oppressive forces.

The question of a butterfly's movements affecting the weather somewhere else is a perfect example of chaos theory and couldn't be more pertinent to yesterdays events, although the scale on which that question is relating to is magnified by a million.

No one can predict the outcome of the next few months, but we can say with confidence that there will be repercussion unlike the world has even seen before. We can only guess and estimate as to what will happen as the result of the retaliation from yesterdays terrorism, and we can only guess and estimate how the loss of life and infrastructure will effect the way people live and feel for years to come.

This is a war unlike the world has ever seen before, and it has already started. The streets will flow red with blood, but this time it will not be from innocent people who respect freedom. You can bet that this is the beginning of a dark, painful chapter in human history.

As the body count piles up and the dust settles, we are only beginning to realize the scope of the damage inflicted upon us. Besides the obvious; hundreds of billions of dollars in infrastructure completely ruined, hundreds of billions of dollars in financial collapse, tens of thousands of lives ended and permanently disrupted, this terrorist attack will have an impact on the psyche of the free world unlike anything we have ever seen in our life time.

This is not just an attack on some buildings, it is an attack on our way of life. It is an attack on the symbols of our freedom and our democracy. When a few madmen can shake up a nation to the point where people are scared to live their lives, we know that we are in great danger. We have all felt that the west was immune to terrorist acts of this scale. How wrong we were.

Now we know what the Israelis feel on a day to day basis.

Next time you are walking down the street, it would probably be best to look over your shoulder. Who knows when or where the next attack will happen. Who knows how many more suicidal death machines are planning to attack. Who knows how they will attack.

What disturbed me the most are the broadcasts of Egyptian and Palestinian people cheering "victory," firing their rifles into the sky in celebration as if this wont affect them somehow, and as if the United States were their enemy.

I'm not feeling very energetic or controversial today. I just hope that something good will come out of the countless lives lost and disrupted, and that we can learn something from this massive scale catastrophe. The fact is our enemy is invisible, hiding in the shadows, waiting to strike. They are patient, suicidal warriors trained in terror and will stop at nothing to inflict fear and sickness into our lives.

They want us to be scared and to change the way we live. They want us to cower in the corner, afraid of living life the way we are used to. Guerilla warfare may know no bounds, but American revenge knows no limits.

It has already started.

The nations that respect a persons right to live in a liberal and free society have already begun sifting through the millions of bits of information, the enemies face is slowly coming to light, and when it does it will rain daggers on them and their people, tearing their flesh and destroying their plans for more terrorism.

The ONLY way we will WIN this War is to not:
Cower in the corner,
Be afraid of living life the way we are used to

As a Planet we must rid the Earth of this type mentality and thought process and that will take years and years.
