Does proviron slow or inhibit hormone level recovery?

Hey bro, I actually had the same question awhile back and did alot of research on this and it does not slow recovery after a cycle and actually it speeds it up, priviron can be used for male impotence as it drastically increases free (unbound) test levels in the body while lowering estrogen as you know im sure, but every article points to it helping in PCT rather than hindering it....

It depends who you talk to, what you read and what you believe.
I am working with an endo and she was mortified that I thought it would help.
At the same time there are probably some out there that would say it does work.
I have not seen a definative answer to this question as of yet.

The only thing I'm kinda concerned about is that I recently read that you need aromatase to help with recovery. If this is really the case, why are people running AI's for pct? Proviron would have some effect on binding to aromatase also, but not as drastic. I've used proviron during pct and it saved my life!

Hmm, seems too good to be true, helps you recover AND boosts your libido. Well, almost - I bet it shreds your hairline.

Wait - are you suggesting allowing aromatase for better recovery ? ? ?

Yes, if you have low estrogen due to aromatase suppression, your body will assume your low estrogen is from low aromatase, and not low testosterone. High estrogen is what tells your body to quit activation FSH and LH release, because if you have high estrogen, you must also have too much testosterone. It is better for recovery if you block the estrogen receptor, while keeping aromatase levels high to normal, so that your body won't think your estrogen is low due to aromatase. If you block the estrogen with normal aromatase levels, your body will assume that you're not producing enough testosterone instead of having low aromatase levels, and signal for release of FSH and LH. This is what I read not to long ago, and even though aromatase plays a minor role in signaling for recovery, we need all the help we can get after high doses of androgens. I have only seen one article on this, so I can't say for sure how correct it is. That's basically why I've been asking questions about it. Sure wish someone would answer. It does kind of make sense if you think about it.

ok, once again, I'm confused about the proviron debate! if proviron inhibits natty test, why would it be used as part of PCT? if it is inhibitive, wouldn't it be counter-productive since PCT is designed for natural hormone recovery?

pro-v just saved my life as well after PCT! it is not suppressive as i took it for a week after pct because i could not bust a nut though i was getting boners and libido was good. it skyrocketed my libido and i starting busting like old faithful. now i am not taking it and still am fine. i would have rebounded again if it suppressed me. thanks Ulter you are the man. Ulter's knowledge of proviron is definitive enough for me.

Proviron is one of my favorite compounds on cycle... I've heard that some people take it year round, but I've also heard it is supressive.

Does anyone have any info on taking it year round???

Yep it really is a God send, but with that said, if you are prone to it, yes it will shred your hairline although I have never had that issue. It is mildly androgenic and not anabolic so you wont grow on it, but it will keep you looking hard. If you are prone to acne, start with very low dosages of this (25mg/day) cause it can cause you to break out bigtime as well.
