Does Proviron Hinder Gains???

no! I got the same as terminator except i kept all my hair!

Not all at. In fact Proviron enhances the effects of testosterone. Proviron is a DHT. If you take Proviron with test your DHT levels are higher which stimulates the androgen receptor causing more strength gains. The only thing it may hinder is PCT since it's mildly suppressive to HPTA. After you've recovered you may want to consider using Proviron at a low dose (25-50mgs ed) to prevent estrogen rebound.

Many people, myself included use Proviron for its androgenic effects as well as an anti-aromatase. Is Proviron effective as an anti-e? Well, the answer to that question remains to be proven scientifically but it sure keeps my estrogen levels down.

JA, if you live your hair and already having problem with it, I suggest you forget about the word "proviron". If I'm correct on this one, it's even more androgenic than DHT and would cause massive hair loss in MPB prone people. I shedded so much using Winny & Proviron. Ulter reported as well Proviron was horrible for his hair even though he didn't see himself as MPB prone.
 
any anti estrogen will hinder gains as estogen = water retention which = strength.

block water retention and less strength.

thats why i run my cycles without any nolvas or provis.
luckily, i'm not prone to gyno or other estrogen related sides.

This is true. There are pro's and con's to Proviron. Since it's a DHT hairloss is definitely a problem with Proviron.
 
Hairloss by Proviron is no big deal for me at my age, 64. As Proviron is a DHT, how will it affect the prostate, especially if you are prone to a somewhat enlarged prostate. I have some gyno effects without Nolva, so I think the test is aromatized to estrogen and also some DHT.

At what dose does Proviron cause hair loss? I have taken up to 50mg/day without any issues and I am prone to MPB.

On top of that I take Propescia as a preventative measure all the time.

Question for the Proviron guru's:
If Proviron is DHT, then doesn't finasteride (Propescia) help in blocking it's activity?

I didn't notice the hairloss until after I stopped using Proviron, which I found sort of odd. Then again, I usually don't get acne while on a cycle but the acne starts a month or two after the cycle.

I'm currently taking 50 mgs. ed of proviron and it seems to be working better than it was at 25 mgs., along with fina/test. There's a good article on this board somewhere about proviron, if I can find it I will post it.

some cutting-edge thinking in this area believes it is the increase in estrogen and the decrease in free testosterone that leads to prostate problems when older. so your goal is to increase free t and decrease e. proviron can help on both counts.
