I agree with you that whole foods are the way to go and when im eating alot of steak instead of drinking shakes my gains come quicker but I also wonder if those gains are coming because im taking in more calories eating all that whole food.BOOEY said:Most definitely. Whatever you see...eat it. I suspect you have an incredible high metabolism so it is hard to gain any weight, so eat eat and eat some more.

Its quite possible you have such a high metabolism that by substituting protein shakes into a major part of your diet your cutting off alot of the fats and carbs your body previously used a fuel? Can try tossing in another 500 calories of "whole" foods. If that does not work try 1000. If you need to go above that, woo boy might need to get a 2nd stomache.
