Does everyone use Creatine when bulking?

I haven't seen many people on here say much about creatine. I am wondering whether many people use it when bulking. I have one question about it. Do you have to contain you to use it in cycles to retain your size? Will you just lose the excess muscle once you stop? DOes it have harmful long term effects? I know a guy that had serious liver problems from it.

I use it in cycles when bulking and not. You won't lose muscle persay but you may lose some strength. It helps to gradually lower your dosage as you come off f it. It hasn't been around long enough to see if there are long term side effects. I have never met anyone who has suffered organ damage from it. Drinking lots of water on it is a must.

man I dont like creatine.. I never see any postive results from it and right about now I decided to stop using it cause its a waste of money for me...

but I dont know.. I've seen some good progress on my friends who were on the football team.. maybe its just not for basketball players.

I only use it when cutting, because I do not eat as much meat. I eat 5 ibs of meat a day when trying to cut, so I'm easily getting 30+ grams of creatine a day in my diet. Supplimenting it at that point would be rather silly. However, when I reduce calories, and eat only 2 ibs of meat a day, I toss in 10 grams post workout in my shake.

I use creatine when I'm bulking, when I'm cutting I stop using creatine, cause of the bloating caused by water retention.

Wow, that's interesting. BBF uses it only when cutting, and Issac uses it only when bulking. Some see little positive results. I guess the jury is still out on the effectiveness of this supp. It seemed to help me when I trained up for boxing but maybe it was my imagination?

ttlpkg, no I actually take in more creatine when bulking. I only suppliment with it when cutting, due to a lower meat intake. The jury isn't out. Creatine is effective for building muscle. There are countless studies showing this now.

i think creatine is a great suppliment to use when bulking .. it helps me gain a few extra pounds plus i seem to be a little stronger when on it .

Yeah, I've seen study after study. I am going back on it in a few weeks, we'll see how it works for me this time.

But whats the point of spending money on something thats just going to temporarily blow your muscles up and then deflate when you stop taking it? Doesn't it seem better to just build the muscle with just protein so?

dr0832 the weight you will lose when coming off creatine will be water weight, not lean body mass. As long as your diet is in check and you have enough protein you will not lose the muscle mass you gained from the creatine.

Currently I am using V12 on a cutting cycle and its working great for me. Ive heard of kidney problems from creatine but never liver, you sure he wasn't taking any other supplements at the time(AAS, pro-hormones, etc)?

actually I tried to find out if what I said was true this week and I guess I was lying

so yesterday and today i didnt take any creatine and I did look less fat/bloated but heres the thing

towards the end of the practice I was done.. when I went into weight room with my team I felt like a girl... we never do heavy weights but we do lifting for endurance

basically I eneded up doing worse then the days on creatine cause I couldnt even finish half of my workouts with lightweights...

basically my muscle stamina wasnt there

Creatine raises your ATP levels, which can allow you to do a few extra reps per set. Creatine doesn't really build muscle, it allows you to train harder, which helps your muscles grow. Also I've read several articles that states, creatine can help you absorb more protein, I'm not sure if that one is true. Water retention is a side effect of creatine use, it will subside when you clear the creatine out of your system, it usually takes a few days to a week for me to lose the bloating.
