Aspirin reduces the negative feedback system that tries to stop ephedrine from working.
- Ephedrine causes beta-agonists to be released (adrenaline), causing weight loss.
- Beta agonists activate cAMP, which phosphorolates proteins, which causes the changes that lead to appetite suppression and thermogenesis.
The negative feedback system tries to stop cAMP activity through two mechanism. phosphodiesterases and prostaglandins. Caffiene inhibits phosphodiesterases and aspirin inhibits prostaglandins. If you are worried about bleeding switching to Ibuprofin should be just as effective, and Ibuprofin does not permanently bind the COX enzyme.
ephedrine --> beta agonists --> cAMP --> protein phosphorylation --> metabolic changes that lead to weight loss
The C & A inhibit the breakdown of cAMP so the process can continue to run smoothly.
If you want EC to kick your ass combine it with a low dose of an SSRI like prozac or zoloft. I am working on my drug regimin right now and even 6 mg of ephedrine taken 2x/day is too stimulating when I take it with 25mg zoloft. I am going to have to keep lowering my dose to find that optimal spot where appetite is suppressed a bit and side effects are limited. Right now the appetite suppression, thermogenesis & sides are too intense. Yesterday I ran 6mg ephedrine, 25mg zoloft & 200mg caffiene at 8am, then 6mg w/200mg caffiene at 1130am. The stimulation was far too intense to handle and by 9pm I had to take 80mg of beta blockers just to get to sleep. That was a horrible night, I almost started having delusions because my NA levels were so high. Next time I am just trying 10mg zoloft and 6mg ephedrine. Yesterday I burned about 5500 calories via normal activity, fidgeting & exercise but only ate 3000, which is far too high of a deficit.
Combining it with green tea is also recommended
