Too bad you don't live here in Jersey, Hoice Gracey teaches right here in woodbridge New Jersey, In case you don't know who he is,he went undefeated for quite some time in the UFC's. I'm starting training with him next week. I can not wait and am very excited about it. It's one good thing for me right now amidst all the chaos in my life. Good luck finding someone in San Fran though. Hope your training goes well.

I'm taking a Kajukenbo class and am going to a seminar is San Fransisco this weekend. Check My post "What Have I gotten Myself Into" The Gracies studio is near me and everyone I know loves it. I take Kajukenbo because I'm getting taught for free in a Club rather than a school.

you mean Royce (the R is pronounced like an H). Secondly, i wasnt aware of him having a school in NJ, i thought his school was in southern california somewhere. however, renzo has a school in NYC.

There is a Gracie acadamy in San Francisco. Not sure which one. Carlson side of the family I think. I can get the address if you are interested.

Royce was at the Gracie acadamy in Torrence, He has since left I believe, but I am not 100% sure where he ended up.

The Bay Area has become a mecca for MMA/NHB fighters. There are 3 legit Gracie dojos near SF. However, they all just abuse the Gracie name, and are too concerned about making money.

No disrespect to the Gracies, but you can go to a good hardcore NHB dojo everyday for as long as you want for the same price as going to Gracie classes 2-3 times a week for a couple hours at a time. Find a MMA/NHB school and tell them what you want to learn. Its a much better learning environment than any Gracie school.
