Does anyone else worry about their parents' health

I think its natural to worry about your parents health, if they mean anything to you. I worried about my dads situation up until the day he died, then after he passed - I worry everyday about my mothers well-being. Suicide, drugs etc. My sister is the only one that i know keeps her going (shes only 14). My brother and I are adults - my sister and the fact she wants to be in heaven with my father (christian beliefs). She told me today she wishes she was in that box (my fathers ashes) with him.

I love her and I already lost one, anyways sorry to blab on. Be honest with your dad (parents) about your concerns and let them know everyday how much you love them. I understood that fortunatley along time before my father got sick, so he knew i loved him and forgave him for our past. And knew he forgave me. Best wishes :rose:

:rainbow: I worrie about my dad all the time. He has soMething called "Marie Charcott Tooth" disease. It is slowly killing off his nerve endings. it's in his legs and hands right now. I can best describe it as extreme neuoropapthy. He will be wolking and his his legs will just give out. Luckily he hasn't fallen in such a way to hurt himself yet. He has no strength in in hand any longer. Sometimes he will loose the grip on his fork, while he eats. It's sad, because there is nothing that can be done for it. He takes pain medication regularly. To top it all off, he also has emphazemia. Yes, he still smokes ....:worried:
He has cut back on his smoking. He is 65 and set in his ways. he does not sit around, he acts like his usual self, pushing himself to get the things done that need to be done each day. I'm so proud of him.

I don't really worry about it too much. I just assume that both will be dead in 15 years. We're growing apart due to decision made along time ago and there's nothing that can turn back the clock to make it right. Its sad in a way, but I've excepted it.

In the same fashion, I've accepted that my kids will want nothing to do with me in about 19 years. I can't change it, I just assume that the cycle will repeat.

"Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I DON'T KNOW IF WE'LL HAVE ENOUGH TIME!"
