I testdrove one today that I'm thinking of buying... was wondering if anybody had feedback as far as do buy, don't buy, etc

if you play your ecards right you could have some lovesick efool buy it for you.
lotsa them around

don't be retarded. i'm serious, unless you have a ton of money fixing the pieces of shit then don't buy it. you are better off buying an acura, lexus, or infiniti. if you have money to piss then buy a benz, bmw, or audi and such. no point in buying a souped-up volkswagen. better off buying a souped-up toyota, honda, or nissan. :D

the cost of fixing a foreign car was a concern...

I have a real job... I'm in school for my MBA but I do work fulltime.

The car is used, they want $14,000 for it.

If it is 14k, it prob. has good mileage on it, why not get something newer that looks "good enough" but is reliable and won't have much in maintenace costs.

You will be in shock when you bring your A6 in for maintenance :)

yeah I hear ya... this is why I post here, you guys help me look at all the different aspects.

I had a dream last night I drove one and crashed it or something.

I like to drive cars which match my lifestyle.

Ya know the type right? Not off the show room floor but look like it, Low miles, Paid for with cash, easy to maintain, hold value, you never have to break the bank to fix them IF they ever need it.

Sigh...I'm a boring Honda girl. Only other Honda peeps can appreciate it.

I  those CRV's as well. My neighbor has one. I have an Odyssey and an Accord. We don't owe on them and they never break. How freakin awesome is that?

My DH really wants a '06 or newer Lexus though and he really deserves it so maybe next year.

Get him an S2000, they are good looking and still have the Honda quality.

LMAO! My Mom drives the S2000. She's 50. When she completed her doctorate she celebrated and got it!

Those are very sweet cars!

DO NOT BUY A USED AUDI. I made that mistake last year...I'll be replacing it in the near future with an Infiniti G37.

What kind of problems have you run into with it?

lol, I remember your post on this. Right?

Hell yes...it was just a couple o' weeks ago. Seriously, I will NEVER own a European car again. I'd much rather save money (and time, at the shop) and get something Japanese. Fuck Audi. While I'm at it, fuck BMW too. My girlfriends' 5-series is a POS too.

Fawque Audi....yes, those words sound familiar. That's what you said in your post title and I said. "Let it out big boy" and needto said, "Tell us how you really feel!" LMAO!

It's an '04 A4, 3.0. I bought it in December 'cuz they're inexpensive and great on gas. Since the end of December, I've replaced the transmission control unit, 2 coils, a fuel pump, BOTH front window motors, the passenger side lower door speaker and had several other smaller issues. Thank fucking God this thing is still under warranty because the transmission control unit ALONE would've cost me over $2k to replace. The warranty runs out in June...and I'll have a G37 shortly thereafter.

Here's the best part...it was "certified pre-owned."

Audi's are great if:

1. You have the money to maintain them

2. You don't mind driving loaners/rentals from the dealership

3. You don't mind spending your free time at the dealership/shop
