Doc told me now more lifting for me. He told me to powerwalk instead of powerlift. Fucking idiot.

Wentot the Va doc again, butthe doc who did the surgery was not there. Got some fucking old idiot. Hime and his duymb fuck resident could find nothuign wrong with my shoulder with there little tests.

So I still have some strength I told them and they have to be a little more manly with the tests and use some force to geta response from me. Idiots.
As far as they are concerned I can pass the tests so I'm fine.

I'm not fine I some pain with vairious day to day things (although it is subsiding with all the time off I took form the gym, sick and work (3wks)) and I can't do any pressing movements.

Two things they want me to do stop lifting weights and stretch my arm behind my lower back and pull it up with the other had. I have a slightly frozen shoulder or impingement. (Same problem I ahd after the injury, Looks like surgery did nothing to help me.)

Needless to say I was a lot pissed and scheduled an appt with my surgery doc, I have to wit 2 months to see him.

After that mess I went and got some A.R.T therapy for my shoudler. Hope it helps.

Dumb shits...

that's terrible bro. i can't find any posts on what the hell happened to you, only that it really affected your lifts. fill me in if you would brother

All I can say bro is maybe it would be a good idea to take some time off benching...

I had a pretty painful injury to the AC joint a year or so after college... ruptured the capsule and had a partial seperation and significant decalcification of the distal end of my clavicle...

Instead of surgery, I tried to stick with benching for about a year, improved my form etc... it improved and lessend the pain somewhat, but never really got totally better...

Then I went into grad school and for the better part of a year and a half to two years, I really didn't lift much at all... (not by choice)

Well after the long rest, I have been back at it for well over a year now, and I am at the verge of new all-time PRs, with little to no pain at all... I think that long rest and healing period probably had something to do with it...

Now even when I am benching virtually year round, I take a break every 2-3 weeks for a full week, just to let things chill and recover. Things start to get a little sore, and I back off totally... it is not worth the injury again.

Probably not what you want to hear, but it might be the smartest move if you want to be in the game long term... Get it fixed as good as possible, then just let it be for an extended period of time....

Maybe it is time to concentrate on DL and SQ! Regardless of what you decide to do, I wish you the best of luck bro.

Im not a expert or anything but i you should just give it sometime to heal, amount depends how bad it is. Then maybe start lifting again very light weights after u think its healed.
The doc said that bruce lee would never kick again after he injured his back, but he proved them wrong.

I ddi rest for over 2 months and I did take it really slow when I started. But I will rest some more and keep looking for good sports rehab doc.

Started this rehab work; http://www.dolfzine.com/page392.htm

Also stretch behind the back for my ROM issue.

Upper trap - face down incline raises, 2-3 sets of 10-15 reps
3lbs
Lower trap - face down incline raises, 2-3 sets of 10-15 reps
5lbs
L-laterals - standing fixed or sitting on bench, 2-3 sets of 10-15 reps
5lbs
L-flyes, 2-3 sets of 10-15 reps
5lbs
Subscap rotations, 2-3 sets of 10-15 reps
5lbs
Dumbbell pullover - for brachioradialus, 2 sets, 10-12 reps
20lbs
Incline flyes - thumbs up to stretch upper pec, movement in line with your ears, 10-15 reps, 2-3 sets
5lbs
Neck training - 2 sets of 10-15, front, back, sides
10lbs
Incline shrugs - done on 45 degree incline bench facing down, 10-12 reps
20lbs
Long cable rope pull in to neck 2-3 sets, 8-12 reps
40lbs

Starting with light weights, on most I can do more weight but I don't want to let my ego get in the way of my rehab again.

Anyone want to add anything?

I keep my log at here:http://www.trainordie.com/metalrage/viewtopic.php?p=24217#24217

I would just take off 6 months to a year personally, and then start back slow...

BUT then again it seemed like your rehab last time went well up to a point, and then things started getting bad again....

I would try to take periodic breaks along the way to avoid re-injury... work with it for 2-4 weeks, then let it rest for 1-2 weeks.... repeat... probably for the rest of your lifting career... get rest BEFORE something goes wrong, BEFORE something starts hurting...

This approach has worked pretty well for me thus far this time around...

just my 2c...
