Do your knees make noise when you squat?

Mine creak and crack like an old door hinge. Not painful, just noisy. Discuss.

So do mine but its genetic for me, grow to damn fast as a teenager so my knees are a little f'd up. Never any pain just noise, still you would think that if your joints are making noise that something is getting messed up over time.

I damaged my right knee on the 1st. I have to have a MRI to see how tore up it is. Knocked me out of a meet I was training for next month.
I can still walk without a noticeable limp - so it can't be that bad?

What do you take for your knees?

I have found my knees are much better when I'm eating salmon twice daily (equivalent of 20 grams fish oil) to much less of it. Otherwise, they sound as if I'm double my age

When I was younger I never had any issues with my knees, then in my late 20's I stopped training for a few years. When I started back up again at 30, I noticed my left knee was making a squeaky noise when squatting. Not painful but noisy. That eventually went away but now I have pain sometimes in my right knee. Feels like fluid buildup, but not sure exactly what it is.
