I listen to my music much too loud and sometimes worry that im going to have some hearing problems later on in life.........i just love listening to music loud. When I train I BLAST the music and get so reved up..........also when I driving I usually have the music very loud too.

yeah sometimes.

my headphones are usually loud as fuck................

plus some of the night clubs i go to are incredibly loud.

i always have a tendency to gravitate towards the speakers.

my friend, whos in his early 30s, had his hearing fucked up from the above. he told me i should always wear ear plugs when going to places like that.

maybe i should take his advice

I've lost a significant part of my hearing. I cannot hear certain tones when there is a lot of background noise. I also have a hard time telling where noises come from. Loud things in the military did too much damage.

+1 I always have my music loud in the car and on my Iphone. I have it up full blast on my phone at the gym. :worried:

I already have a "severe" hearing loss in one ear and "moderately severe" in the other. Most people would never know it though. For me it's less a volume issue (though that is part of it) and more a quality of sound issue. Everything sounds muffled and blurred, and I'm pretty much deaf to higher frequencies. But I adjusted so well throughout my life that I can function almost completely without my hearing aids (and when i wear them, they are so small that you can't see them unless you are looking right into my ear).

And ceo....everyone does that to me...and I always fall for it.

"I'm hard of hearing."

"what?"

"I'm hard of - Aw fuck."

Ah they don't intend it in a mean way. I'm not sensitive about it at all and crack more jokes on myself than anyone else does.

my dad has a 75% hearing loss in one ear, and about 50% loss in the other from being in the war (WWII). I grew up having to speak loudly to him. You can't really yell at him either. Just need to speak loudly and clearly. I have a naturally loud (I've been told, "booming") voice. Wonder why? :)

at least it's not genetic.

i'm cuban AND from NY/NJ.

i'm a walking megaphone

It's so funny when I try to speak softly (not whispering), because my voice will just carry. I think I'm stealthy and quiet as a frickin mouse, and I'll say some shiat about someone to a friend or my wife, and sure as shit, I'm heard! :worried: I'm such a dick.

I am louder than I intend sometimes when I have my hearing aids out...but I genuinely can't hear how loud I am, so I have an excuse. :)

lol

I have been told I get loud when I am drunk. I guess I just get real happy and excited so I talk loud. I know I am not the only one like this though.

Not if I ever get married again then it would be cool to lose my hearing!! Then I would never hear her bitching!
