do you workout with a partner or by yourself?

there are some benefits for both ways. with a partner you have someone to help out if you need it and for motivation. but by yourself you feel like your getting a leg up on your friends and you don't have to help them if they need it. so which do you do/prefer?

Dammit, I didn't mean it to sound like that! :)

To answer the original question, I work out at home because decent gyms are few and far between and it's more convenient, so I work out alone.

lifting by yourself will take you so far. get some serious training partners, and watch your lifts skyrocket.

I would love a partner, preferably one who's got 50-100lbs on me in all my lifts :) but the only people willing to train 'my way' are newb lifters, which takes way too much focus away from my workout to train them.

Solo it is.

Just the way you phrased it.

I like to workout at home, alone. I play my music, at the volume I want. I don't have to look for plates. I don't have to wait for my partner to fifnish before starting my next set. I don't have to make dumb small talk about shit I ain't interested in.

I'd wo with a partner if I could find one whose back/knees/neck/vagina wouldn't get "injured" doing squats/deads/bb rows. Nobody I know fits that profile, so I solo.

I've had a few people ask if they could join me, but upon finding out I require deep squatting 3 times a week, they never seem to show up. I agree DEDICATED partners would be awesome, but as I have yet to meet them, I will continue to solo.
