do you take dextrose post cardio session?

Chill lean... check it out... if it were me, and I was cutting, I would not use dextrose post cardio. Your metabolism will remain high well after completing your cardio session and I would take advantage of it.

However, if you looking to gain mass and doing cardio for the sheer cardiovascular/healthy benefit, I don't see any reason dextrose would hurt anything.

insulin spike --> glucose uptake into adipose (fat) tissue. if you gotta take such a high-GI carb, which doesn't really make sense (bulking or not), then at least take some ALA with it.

I take it post-workout and post-cardio, but I don't take in near as much post-cardio because I don't feel my muscles need the replenishment the same way they would post workout.

when i refer to post cardio i mean on days that i'm not weight training but only doing a 30-40 minutes cardio session at around 60-80% mhr.

do you think you really need dextrose post such workout?

I only use about 75 g Post weight-training workout.

I don't think you would need it after 30 minutes of lower intensity cardio if you are trying to lean out.

I always take dextrose post workout. It doesnt matter if I am cutting or bulking.

You need to replace your glycogen stores after working out, cardio or not. You can NOT gain fat from taking dextrose post workout.

I average 75grams post workout but sometimes its 100grams. I mix it with 40-60 grams of protien, 5-10grams creatine, and 300mg of r-ALA.
