First off, in my opinion, to judge another person based upon their personal habits...is just plain silly. Everyone has some habits that are bound to offend or irrate someone....no one is perfect. And I tend to believe that there is so much more to a person than the Marlboro that they are holding in their hand.....

For me....do I smoke....I used to, and I loved it. Not a day goes by that I don't crave a cigarette. For the most part I have been "smoke free" for almost 2 years. I did start smoking for about a weeks time back in January, and that was mainly due to very high stress and shock.

Is smoking bad for you...well the answer to that is pretty obvious, and I truely don't believe that there is any smoker out there that would argue....but look at all of the other things in our world that are also bad for you....I think the list we could come up with is endless......

Just my 2 cents!!

i really wouldn't care if idiots smoked, as long is it just affected them and nobody else, but thats not how it works. Where I work, ignorant customers would often come in to the store smoking. I seriously wanted to kill them. I don't want to smell that garbage, and if they're ignorant enough to smoke in a store, then screw them. So i put a sign up at the store, and now most people don't, but some still do, and i tell them they can't smoke in the store and i am a dick about it, but only cause they're ignorant.

also, how much money do you think from health care providers go to paying for diseases caused by smoking? I would say a good bit. I know smokers pay more for insurance and all that, but you can't tell me that people who don't smoke are helping to pay for the medical costs of smokers. I'm sorry, but I can't feel bad for somebody who gets lung cancer because they smoked their whole life. smokers just plain disgust me, they stink real bad and are constantly coughing. i'm like, go ahead buddy, smoke another.

and even smoking outside, when walking to class, there will be people smoking and the smoke will come back in my face, and it drives me nuts, or when walking into a building, people will be smoking outside and i had to walk through it, so i had to go through the back entrance of the building. if you want to kill yourself, go right ahead, but i want nothing to do with that garbage.

It's funny because people seem to absolutely hate cig smokers but have no problem in lighting up a joint. I read somewhere that a joint is equal to 5-6 cigarettes.....so put that in your joint and smoke it.

PERSONALLY though, I smoke both :)
But when it comes to cigs, I smoke reasonably, i'm not one of those 2-3 pack a day'ers, but still enjoy a smoke every once in a while.

TB cigars are the worst. They should only be smoked outdoors.
Why do all doctors smoke? I know one who ironically died of lung cancer.

Whoa there..... equal how? It's harder on your body smoking half a pack a day as opposed to one joint. It's true, it's true.

Anyway, what are the effects of smoking as it relates to adding mass? And if there are any, how severe are they? I smoke one a day, never more than that, and am just wondering if it's visibly holding me back. I smoke weed whenever I can get it, which is never more than a 20 every month or two.

The ones I know are all in their 40/50's and eat whatever, whenever. I'm waiting for one of my buddies (non-smoker, weight trains etc) to graduate and to break the trend.
