What is there deal? I don't get them. They are constantly coming up with wild ass fibs. This one dude I knew was the size of Don Knotts and he said he was in the special forces in Vietnam and even went to say he won a CMA. He also said he played Banjo in Kenny Rogers band and was extremly rich. He was a nice guy and his stories were incredible funny and entertaining but they were just stories.

This other dude I know tells you one thing and then never follow throughs(well he did a few times). He will tell people that he doesn't know well that he has all these bad ass assets.

I guess they think why not be who they would like to be by telling people they are something they are not but since people think they are so they think they are. (did that make any sense?)

Anyway do you know any people like that? And what are some of the doozies you have heard?

I've worked with a couple in past years. One guy was Harvard and MIT educated, fabulously wealthy, qualified helicopter pilot, DJ at the Tunnel in NY at the weekends, the scion of a well known and influential family with whom he shared a name, tireless worker for charity, holiday home owner in 200 countries in case the whim to travel caught him, and so on. He had a massive heart attack at work one day and got hauled off in an ambulance but was back at work the next day telling everyone how he was dead for an hour, stuff like that.

The thing was, he wasn't remotely convincing and nobody was fooled. You only had to look at the guy to tell he had he had no money, surely you would get yer' teeth fixed; his literacy and education level was child-like, and so on. Not to mention his crappy job. And the fact that his lies contradicted each other, like he'd tell you about the famous family and right after that tell you he was living under an assumed name because his life was in danger.

People tend to humor these guys in the work environment I've found, because it's not their problem and it's good for a laugh as long as the guy does what he's supposed to.

I used to work with one.
He was lying to our company and another one that was nearby.
He was working for both of them at the same time, yet not telling either.
To get away with it, he lied saying his wife had a baby, then said that they baby was dying and he had to go to the hospital a lot.
He was later busted when our company moved to the same building as the other company he worked for.
He just stopped showing up, then a call was put in to that company and he was fired there.

The only real experience I had with him was he saw me cracking my back by twisting in my chair, and he said "Fuck dude, I was in the Special Forces, and that shit can break your back - like you need to be really careful doing that or you can sever your spine."
Then he walked off.
That was his last day with us, and my second day there.

Strange guy, but he knew a lot about Jeeps.

I knew one for a couple years while in the military. You could watch him do somthing right in front of you, ask him about it and he would deny doing it. He wasn't trying to impress people. He really could not help it. He was honest about it. He never denied being a lier. He told me once that in his head he would be thinking one thing but when he opened his mouth somthing else would come out.

I knew a gitl who said that she was abused by her real father, so her mom left him and married someone else. She later later said that her real father had died the day after she was born.

She told me that she had seen my parents at the Honda dealership and that they were buying me a car for high school graduation.

She bought her boyfriend a sketch of Dave Matthews and told him that she "commissioned the work" for him. I have since seen the same sketch in every mall I've been in for the last year.

She told people taht she was half American Indian, even though she had fair skin and freckles.

there was a girl at the school that my dad was a professor at that was claiming she was raped multiple times (multiple claims on different guys).
then it came out that the previous school that she had transferred form had the same thing happent here and she was kicked out.

a friend of a friend had a girl tell her that she would give her a Mustang... which is a strange thing.

all of these things just get really awkward once the truth becomes blatantly clear.

One of my friends at uni shared student accomodation with this girl who just invented so much crap... childhood leukaemia was one, and there were many others.... everyone just came to the conclusion that she was, just simply, so nuts she didn't realise she was lying.
