i'll hide out in the attic of our shop...lay out on a pair of rafters with a couple sheets of drywall in between them.

I didnt really hide per se, but while working the NICU I chose to do my paperwork in the pods with the least amount of people in them.

At my old gym there were empty offices in the back. I would go in there with a bunch of mats and take naps when I was hung over.

When my boyfriend calls during the day I hide in the stairwell to talk to him for a few minutes. Everyone's a lazy ass and takes the elevator so I have never had anyone come into the stairwell when I've been there.

I did when I was in the Army..shaming was an art form. It's amazing how people won't question you when you look like you're doing something important. In the private sector, no, I might get fired and as a self-employed person, hell no...

i do the opposite .. in my job when i finish my work the day is over .. i bust my ass for 3-4 hrs , finish early .. then bum around for the next 4 on the interwebs etc

i put a note on my office door that says "conference call" and then shut it.

it's not a guarantee that i'll be left alone but it helps.
