I would get a crush on a girl, but I'd never have the guts to talk to her, so we would remain distant strangers.

Nowadays I'm more forward and actually try to say at least something to these girls, I think I give them at least enough clues to suspect me of flirting. But I just dont get the balls to ask them out.

Once, 20 years ago.

Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE asked me why her and I didn't hook up.

"Eh, we're just friends. She doesn't see me that way."

That was the excuse I gave. Truth was, her and I were such good friends, I was terrified of screwing that up, so I kept my chew hole shut.

I have had 3 women in my life who completely rattled my cage. She was one of them.

She's married now with a family. Haven't spoken to her in ~10 years.

Yes, I miss her.

I did and the person never suspected it. Risky or not my state of mind was just off the hook. There are no medicine for anti-crushes and the best therapy in my case appeared to be direct confrontation with the source.

I had a crush on a girl in grade 10. We went out for a week, but her father was a mean drunk & I'd see her bruises. I wanted to kill the prick, but she broke off with me (I found out later to keep me away from her father). When she broke it off I cried on the bus all the way home, rode it for a couple rounds & avoided her for the next year. Broke my heart. I found out later, she felt the same way I did. If I had been less confrontational re Daddyo we probably would have made it & gotten married. Don't know where we would be today, but I occasionally wonder if I'd have been as happy as I am now. Ya never know.
