Do you have a high tolerance for pain?

I dont, i have my cartlidge pierced in my ear and when someone tries to put the earring in for me, i start seeing spots.....i dont really get it, because it dont really hurt......i just almost pass out
And when i hurt myself, cut myself, or something like that....i have to sit down because im gonna fall over
why is that? and do u have a high tolerance for pain?

Absolutely not. When I went to have lipotrispy done on the my kidney stone. I asked for a general and they said they only give generals to little kids because they squrim around alot. I said oh and your point?> So they wouldn't give a me a general. So I just went with the periodic morphine shots when I felft pain the nurse would push some morphine in the syringe. At the end of the rock breaking session she said I took more morphine that any other patient she ever had. So I asked?

My friends say i do, i have my ear pierced and that was not painful,
I never thought i had a high tolorance fro pain, until i was at the gym once and the personal trainer deicided spore of the moment, to train my buddy and i, and he and my buddy where impressed with how much pain i could endure until i gave up.
So for me i now understand why sooo many people think i am on roids, when i am SOO not

yes......

I was hit in the face.....shattered my cheek bone...eye orbital...had a broken nose and a torn sinus...

....didnt pass out....drove myself to the ER

LOL, most people don't find ear piercings painful though...are you talking about a standard lobe piercing? Or a cartilege piercing or something? I can see those being painful, but not a regular ear piercing... lol.

I don't have an extremely high tolerance for pain, but mine is okay, I guess?

I have a high tolerance for pain. I sat through a 3 peircing sitting and it didnt faze me - I had my lip and nipples peirced all in the same sitting. I asked the girl is it done and she was already moving to the next one. I even told my tattooist to dig in with my tats cause i liked it. When I get burned then im a baby thats the only pain I dont like.

It almost sounds like you're hitting a nerve ending.

Yes I do..

I have had moderate RA for about 10 years and basically a day rarely
goes by that I do not have some pain, mostly in my ankles.

Most mornings I'm limping for 15 min or so till things loosen up and then it's just
pain at an annoyance level.. Weekend Evening after being on my feet all day and then sitting down for a while are the worst..

Every month or so I have a flare up and my whole body will be in pain.

The first time I cleaned my belly button piercing, I didn't soak it for long enough and when I went to turn the barbell it hurt like a motherfucker...I thought I was going to pass out in the shower.

Very hig tolerance.. there is a fine line between pleasure and pain

stuff hurts me a lot but i can deal with the hurting.. but i might be making some funny sounding noises while the pain is happening..

Well .. I think I do.. LOL

Its all relative I guess.

Closed my hand in a car door once.. locked it shut.. broke a few bones.. never flinched.

I had completely natural child birth.. No pain meds. I was questioned many times while signing in if I was sure I was in labor.. LOL

dislocated my elbow in the dojo and just to not scare the rest of the students stayed for the next 30mins sitting there like nothing was wrong.. No one knew besides my Sensi and my xhusband. When I got to the emergency room was informed that swelling had set in and that they would give me morphine but didn't really mask shit when they started to stretch me out like gumby.. LOL Still didn't bitch or cry.

Broke my wrist fighting for my brown belt in the first few seconds of the first round and finished the fight... went home went to sleep and ended up going to the ER the next morning only cause it was so swolen and blue and had no feeling in it.

Oh please. I heard it's a cakewalk. I think women just make up that whole pain thing so they have something over us. Hell, I'll give birth out my asshole and won't even cry.

No I don't.

But I'm not a pussy or anything, I'm just allergic to it or something.

I have a very high tolerance for pain and it gets me in trouble, because I tend to injure myself without realizing it.

We share a dangerous thing, shortness.

My ballerina maneuver in Nawlins a couple weeks ago gave me a hairline fracture and a slew of broken vessels.. it was upper shin and even the bottom of my damn foot was blue... purty...

The doc said that i should stay off it for a week if could manage it, so i told her it happened a week and half before, she smacked me... LOL....

The Childbirth argument may have been valid back in the day when women were
out picking beans in the field, went into labor, stopped, dumped the kid out and went back to pickin..

But with all the sweet meds and Eppidurals available today, the most she feels by choice are some hard menst like cramps and back, leg pain during the last months due to eating too many ding dongs and haagen das ..

Aye, that was a new level of both attractiveness and stupidity... LOL

exactly. which is why we have a higher tolerance for pain.

This is so bogus. My wife cries about the littlest things. In fact, every woman I know cries from minor injuries.

i walk around with glass in my foot for 2 weeks and don't even notice..
Walked on a broken ankle for some time too..

And that is only 2.. so yes i do

she probably has a high tolerance for pain, but whines for attention. I'm afraid a lot of women are like that. I wnet on a camping trip to the mountains and we all took our quads. I took a steep hill and rolled mine. Went head over into a thorn bush and some rocks. Got back up, had someone help me turn the damn bike over so I could get back on. I got back to camp that night looking like I'd been run over by a truck. Another girl there was complaining that her butt hurt from riding all day. You'd have thought she'd given birth, she complained so much.

Maybe you're right. I just don't understand women at all I guess. Teach me!

if she is not the center of your world at all times, she will find a way to put herself there - even if it involves whining.

physical pain: high threshold
emotional pain: low threshold

ive been telling you that for awhile now
hush dang

yeah i think i had a higher tolerance when i was 21 when i had my first kid, i didnt have many drugs
the second child i was 23 and had the same
but by the time i was 28 and had my 3rd kid, i was like screw this shit and i got an epidural
but dang it, was in back labor for 17 hours before i could even get the epidural......
now if i had a kid id prob want an epidural drip the whole 9 months

I have an extremely high pain threshold.

I have relocated my own shoulder twice and my right elbow once. The elbow I dislocated throwing shotput, it came loose and rotated about 30 degrees out of position, I relocated by grabbing a fence and throwing my weight the other way to force it back in. I then went and threw discus for an hour.

I have fallen asleep while getting tattooes. I have branded myself four times and actually really enjoy the feeling. I refused pain meds for my knees much to the shock of everyone in the docs office.

When I snapped a bone in my finger I went for x-rays the doc was playing with it and could feel the broken ends grinding against each other then looked down and said "Doesn't that hurt" I said not really and I got the look like I was the antichrist.

My main problem is I actually like pain, I like getting tattooes, piercings, brands, carvings, etc. And this causes many problems like I don't actully know how badly hurt I am and don't seek assistance when I should.

Cheers,
Scotsman

I was in the middle of a brawl in HS tossing people right and left and thumping idiots and a kid stabbed me and I didn't feel a thing. He then stabbed me in the hand as I blocked the blade. I had blood everywhere. I broke his jaw, eight ribs and his right leg.

Then I got stitched up with locals and wanted to kick someone elses ass.
