Do you guys donate blood?

I have been researching rbc's in reference to aas use lately.
Mostly because sometimes I feel like I am having symptoms of high blood pressure but I monitor my blood pressure closely and it is very consistent.
So in my research I came across increased blood flow high red blood cell count might be causing similar symptoms.
So is high rbc's a concern for the average gym rat that stays under 500mg test ew and typically doesn't go longer than 12 weeks on cycle?
And just for discussion sake,
What about guys running high doses, like a gram or more?
Or guys the run long cycles or just stay on altogether, blast and cruise?

1. Androgens and certain gear (esp equipoise) trigger production of EPO in the kidneys which then trigger production of RBCs.

2.when your RBC gets too high you get symptoms of secondary polycythemia/erythrocytosis.

3.If it gets too high the blood bank also will not take your blood--you need a doc's prescription to have the blood taken and then destroyed--like $300

4. It is rare for it to get that high--I live at altitude (6000 feet) and I am on HRT+ and my RBC still stays low enough not to cause any issues that require you to donate.

5. so don't worry about it.

Thanks bro, was hoping a vet could fill me in.

baby aspirin is another option if your blood start to get too thick.... or you could LOWER YOUR DOSAGE! and run a nice safe normal cycle :)

Eddy, you can donate still if it doesnt get too high?

sure. the restriction on use of aas has to do with the risk of HIV/Hep associated with needles (also not if on naturally derived GH). It will drop your hematocrit about 3%/per pint.

But make sure you are not on any hair meds--avodart/propecia can cause birth defects and on the off chance your pint goes to a preg woman--well, that is just the ultimate bad karma.

I do donate blood,,,not as often as I should but I like to help,,plus I think it helps me too.

350mg ew is my max.
Is that considered normal?

no that is not normal.. its unfortunate that it is not.. most people use way more.. way more than is needed and it leads to some crazy sides

at 350 a week of gear you will rarely run into any sides but you can still make some crazy good gains

I don't donate but I get blood tests every 3 months. It's good to give blood and make some fresh. And yeah, gear can raise red blood and platlet count but at your dosage you should be okay.

Your RBC's can climb to above normal levels on 200mg/wk of test. We cant really give specifics on what happens at various doses and durations because everyone is different, one reason we always say you should get labs done.

Another way to look at it...does it really matter if your RBC isnt too high? Donate blood anyway, Its for a good cause.

I learned this lesson early in my aas career. First cycle was test e that was dosed at 300mg/ml so i started pinning 1ml 2x ew. Was fine at first then after about 10+ days (very suddenly) i started getting sides that scared me so bad i ended up in the ER.
After a lot of test they found nothing wrong with me, so i went home lowered the dose by half and was fine for the duration of the cycle.
i didn't start this thread cuz im running some insane 6 compound, 3 gram cycle and now it's scarring the shit out it me like a lot of Guy's I've seen.
I'm always thinking, researching trying to learn new things. I agree with the dosages i see you recommend 100%.
I also believe that i will never need anymore then 2 compounds in a cycle.
Any more than that just seems to be adding sides with no real benefits.

we have a responsibility to not only donate blood which is good for us and good for others, but we also have a responsibility to the environment and the safety of others to throw our needles away in a sharps container and send them off to the appropiate place.. costs $4 from any drug store. you wouldn't appreciate it if your trash guy got poked by accident or some animal stepped on it.

usually gyms have a blood donation, ask the front desk.. my gym has the blood bus come once a month and a lot of dudes who are juiced up give as its good to drop down our RBC's.. i'm the type of person who gets elevated RBC's on any AAS and my RBC's stay on the top of range even off cycle so its a must.
