Do you get along with your In-Laws?

My in-laws are fantastic.
They really love their daughter...which, I know that may sound strange...but thats the easiest way to get on my GOOD side is to piss her off. I would much rather someone do something to me then her.
And when they visit...all I have to do is keep doing what I normally do...they dont expect anything special from me. I dont have to entertain. And I really appreciate that.

They leave me alone now. Long gone are the questions, as I answered their continual quest for information with hints of sex and torture. Shocked them into just being nice.

My soon to be ex-wife's parents have always dispised me. They messed with me for a while, then I decided to mess back. Since then we just don't talk.
Once, in the middle of June, they decided to get me to help them round up cows in heat -- in the middle of frigging Oxford, Mississippi (99 deg / 100% humidity).
So her mom walks up to me while we're rounding-up cows and says "see? You can tell which cows are in heat based on the way they act. Women are just like that. Sometimes they are dictated by their hormones and you'll just have to put-up with it."
So then I say: "Well Kay, I don't see any of these male cows hooking up with a single cow and spending the rest of their lives with them either."
... And strangely enought we haven't chit-chated that much ever since.

in fact, my wife's sisters and their hubbys didnt even talk to me at the little christmas get together...
they think i took her away because she doesnt NEED them anymore. i think they treat people like shit and i DONT FUCKING LIKE THEM...

My father-in-law's a peach. My mother-in-law makes my wife nuts. . .was never nice to her. My wife is one of the nicest people that I've ever known and her mother is a fuggin bitch. . .it's hard to believe they're related sometimes.

I get along better with my in-laws than I do my own parents.
My in-laws are:
1) Still married, 40+ years
2) Retired, healthy, charismatic and socially outgoing
3) Love me almost more than their own daughter
My parents are:
1) Divorced
2) Heavy smokers and drinkers
3) Distant and anti-social
So, in-laws = solid family, blood relatives = fractured family. Choice is easy.
My in-laws are:
1) Still married, 40+ years
