Several yrs ago I worked at an aluminum smelter, very hot and heavy work, the pots ran an avg. of 1200 F and in the summer guys would dehydrate and be carried out to the ambulance on stretchers
The guys on light duty (injured) would mix gatorade allday and if you did'nt drink 5 gallons of fluid daily you would wake up in the middle of the night with some serious cramps (charlies)
The nice part about it was, you could wake up with a serious hangover and knock back a six pack on the way to work and as long as you could avoid the supervisor for half an hour you could sweat out your buzz and the hang over
If the mensa crowd could step away from the need to prove their intelligence, they would realize that the whole purpose of this thread was something comical - something funny to think about while you chug down enough water to make others feel like they were to float away; then to think about what all that water could weigh.
