Do you ever lose count of reps?

It happens a lot with me. I have a training log that after I`m done with a set, I write 6 or 7 reps? lol Ido that a few time every workout! My mind is going bros... I think I`m too into the set to count. The rep takes so lont that I think I did 3 reps in the span of just ONE.

Do you count the first rep on db exercises? I never know if I should...

lol I know what you mean. They`re like quazi-reps. I think I do. If you stick with a certain way then you`ll be alright. Just don`t go back and forth.

I hate when you fail in your middle or first set...I always like to start high but sometimes I start too high, fucking the rest of my schedule set plan...

I write down stuff now. I found it`s too easy to sty at the same weith week after week, workout after workout if I did`nt keep a log. I bring my PC to the gym. It sucks because it`s freaking heavy and I gotta hook it up to their electric. Fuckem, I pay a monthly fee for that shit. I just unplug one of their treadmills and plug my PC in there.

I get a good workout going from the computer to all corners of the gym though.

I need a scanner to bring with me.

and a printer.

or two.

fax machine.

I forget a lot too. Its normal. As long as the muscle your training is real sore thats all that matters.

Sometimes I lose track of reps, but I don't do it too often anymore. I make sure to get completely focused, because I'm real strict about my logs and beating last week's numbers.

doesn't your bowflex count reps for you?
j/k I have, but it's rare.

:chomp:
not uise to girl actually knowing about howto work out! :)

On the last sets I sometimes have some troubles counting the reps

It goes like 1..2..3..5..8.. and 10 finished !

Happened the other week for me. The gym switched from that shitty hip hop to Bruce Springsteen: Glory days and I got caught up in the song and my brother stopped me at 9 reps instead of 5. Had to wait a bit longer for my 2nd set but thats about it.

Loosing count of your reps is normal, walking out of the gym and not remembering where the fuck you parked the car, is what troubles me.

A bit like responding to a thread and not remembering what it is about, hey guys what the fuck are we talking about again?

I usually train with my bro, and we count each other reps out loud. Its a good way to focus ive found. And its hard to cheat and write one more rep in the log book. Cuz if you try it, the other one will be all over you.

Never happens to me. Because I always make certain to shout out the number of each rep as I'm doing the exercise

Along the lines of "One!!!" "2!!!" and so on

Then if I forget, I just ask out loud if anyone remembers how many reps I did on the last set. They are usually pretty helpful, and often attach useful if unsolicited advice at the end, such as "it was two asshole, and next time add some weight to the bar you pansy ass bitch"

Did I forget to mention that I often forget to add the weights as well? Maybe that's why I always feel so fresh after a workout. I'm gonna have to do something about that, maybe if I write it.....hey whats that?!!

What was I saying?

I don't care if I lose count of reps. I normally do reps to failure. I hate it when I forget what weight I am at though. Never write it down, because I always lose the paper I write it on. I also forget where I park everytime.
