Do they raise estrogen levels????

i know the subject of hair loss has been beat to death around here but theres something that im confused about. My brother who never used to work out before, recently started working out with me....I always suspected he had low test levels...so I adviced him to start lifting weights with me and he has been doing so for 2 months already. Hes showing all the signs of more elevated test levels(ive read that lifting heavy raises them)...but he says that he has been loosing some of his hair as well....especially when he combs it back. That never used to happen to him...so im very concerned. The doctor told him to look into some of the hair loss treatments out there (propecia, nizoral, minoxidil, spironolactone) and see if they help him with that. The thing im concerned about is this: will taking any of these treaments...raise ones estrogen levels??Has anyone here experienced estrogenic side effects(such as water retention, lack of sex drive, etc.) from taking any of these products designed to help with hair loss?Do these products raise estrogen levels...im talkin about the topical ones. Please let me know what you think of this?thanks

Propecia can raise estrogen up to 15%. DHT also acts as a weak aromatase inhibitor so lowering it will allow more Test to be converted to Estrogen. If your concerned, get a before and after blood test.

I'd say you'll be fine using the topical treatments. I dont think that they can cause your estrogen levels to go up much if at all.
