I went to rent a movie last night and the movie chick tells me I should get Wrong Turn. I said what is it about and she said about canibals are something it the woods. She said it would scare me when I went into the woods. And I said I don't want to be scared when I am in the woods so why would I want to see that movie?
I remember when I saw "Friday the 13th" when I was a teenager. Dang that movie scared the shit out of me. I mean that was the first really scary slasher flick and it was not stupid like the other ones with jason coming out of the water a zombie. That one was realistic with a nutty lady that wanted revenge for her son. Inotherwords it could have happened. And the part that got me was when that crazy lady grabbed the dudes forehead that was smoking a joint and then a arrow came through his thoat.
It freaked me out. I mean I looked under my bed for at least 4 months to see if that physco bitch was under my bed. Then everytime I was in the woods I would think about her coming after me with that butcher knife especially on friday the 13th. I wouldn't go in the woods on that day without a gun.
So that is when I decided to hell with scary movies. I mean why do I want to pay to be scared? Shit I don't like being scared. If I going to pay money, I want to laugh or see killer action.
Anyway the point of this post it to see if other movies have scared you into being pararnoind in you everyday life. Say like gong to get firewood outside and it is a little foggy and no one else is around do you ever think about someone being out there ready to slit your throat or split the back of your head open with an axe? Or when you are swimming has Jaws ever crossed you mind? See where I am going with this?
