Do other countries Hate Americans

MarthaStewart

New member
speaking from experience, yes, they hate America.

from what I have seen here (meaning where I live, although to some extent this board as well), they are pretty dead on.

I think the worst part is the pride of being stupid.

do other countries hate us?

Im think'n most other countries think we are stupid and fat.

they arent too far off though

It really depends on the country and the current world situation.

Sorry didn't mean to make you cry. I was just trying to make a funny. I bet you terrorized as a teen playing nipple-tag.

Who cares if they hate us or not. Hey we're americans we can kick everybodys butt. Well except maybe china but we could nuke them.

You live in total bliss, don't you?

:goof:

I only dislike the attitude of certain Americans. The psycho fervent patriotic nutcases. I'm nice enough to not put them all in the same category and give everyone a chance, though. :x

Try too. :D But no I thiink we(americans) do alot to help other countries and it seem like the more we help them the more they resent us. It's a no win situation.

Bad move ;). This is why people stereotype America...I'm sure it's very easy to take America down...it's very vulnerable to terrorist attacks. 1 small pox outbreak can pretty much clear out everyone that's less than 24 years of age...in other words, America's workforce. And China can nuke the shit out of the States too...I don't think America's SDI can pacify a barrage of ICBMs, China has more than enough missiles.

if anyone had the fuckin' sack to drop a nuke on us, they better get right, because that hemisphere of the planet that did it would cease to exist.

oh yeah, what is wrong with being patriotic? just because some of you socialist weenies dont love your country doesnt mean we should follow your ass-backwards example.

i fucking love this country.

Have you ever heard Nietzches' description of the common herdsman? That's sorta what America is becoming...or has become.

Do you even know what a socialist is?

I love America, but I also love some of the other countries I have been to as well.

Most of Europe, most of the Middle East, Australia, the Phillipines, Japan, etc.

During these times I wouldnt mind living in Australia over America, but in my opinion it is natural for a person to believe his/her country is above all of the others.

Unless you are from Canada of course. ;)

There is a stereotype, and it manifests itself on this board all the time. It’s the one that Americans are insular and don’t understand, appreciate or perhaps even care about the rest of the world. Of course, the majority disprove this, however, there are always those that pop up who fall right into this category…

Examples from this board like “Where is the sports capital of the world” and “Where would you like to live” seem to draw the standard list of American cities from the majority of US guys, whereas people from other parts of the globe seem more likely to look further a field. I don’t think it is about patriotism either. You can love your country, and be prepared to die for it if need be, whilst appreciating and understanding other places and cultures in the world, most of which existed many thousands of years before the US as we know it was even created.

Just my thoughts

sorry, i havent read but one of his books, primarily because i dont buy into a lot of the things he has to say. why dont you fill me in about this 'herdsmen' business and how it relates to america, since you're the expert and all.

i enjoy hearing all of the predictions of doom and gloom when it comes to america, especially from those who dont even live here or understand it; it's rather amusing.

oh yeah, it's spelled 'nietzsche'

and yes, i can assure you i know what a socialist is.

Your're a commy? Where's my gun? But seriously why? Are you lazy or something? Because if I was lazy, I would be a commy for sure. They are the lazy man's political party.

he's not lazy. he is just another 17 year old who is angry at his mom and dad still, thus explaining his support for communism.

did the 'goth thing' not upset them enough? is that why you favor a political philosophy responsible for the deaths of more than 100 million people?

Dear poink I am not a rebel without a cause sympathising with the communist system for attention or to get to my parents.

I have also never been a goth and would never become one.
Also, theres a difference between believing in communist politics and supporting everything that happened in the Soviet Union

I met 2 guys from Boston last summer. They were cool we got along. was in Greece. However when I asked for some thoughts on the US foreign policy situation at the time i got some kind of apathic, half interested response saying

"Ah well i think we should carpet bomb the whole middle east all together and get it over with"

He saw the *oh your one of those* look on my face and took it back immediately. It was strange

it's just not cool to say that you like the US. It's like saying that you like Barry Manilow.

Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl
With yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there
She would merengue and do the cha-cha
And while she tried to be a star, Tony always tended bar
Across a crowded floor, they worked from eight til four
They were young and they had each other
Who could ask for more?

Did you tell him that you were a Marxist? You could have received the same response of disgust that you gave him.

Hey...I like Barry Manilow. I may have a CD somewhere.

Enya is one of my favorite performers, say what you will.

Most people can't even handle a couple stories I can tell about grand adventure without getting scared.

Many foreigners greatly dislike America...but what they find when they come here is that they do not hate American's but they hate the effect that the American Government and the American Armed Forces have had on their countries...

B True

I think that about sums it up...........

Bingo..............this is the Grand Slam Home Run.

The heavy handedness of our government is beyond belief.

Americans are, generally, idiots.

canada isnt a great deal better folks. and trust me, if america were to really get nasty, canada would be riding the american dick first and hard.

America is soo stupid that countries in trouble look to the US for economic and military support.

People that america are merely jealous.

Most people can't think, most of the remainder won't think, the small fraction who do think mostly can't do it very well. The extremely tiny fraction who think regularly, accurately, creatively, and without self-delusion- in the long run, these are the only people who count.

The above is true of all nations.

I say keep an eye out for Greenland. They are way too quiet. They are definitely up to something. I mean come on, Greenland.....it is like, all Icy and stuff. Keep an eye out.

Not many people "hate" America - its just a shame that the usually sterotypical American - like poink, never once entertain the thought that there are faults in the US system.

That being said, I do generally like most Americans that I come in contact with - its just a shame that a few "patriotic" loudmouths ruin it for the rest.

The patriots help make up for the languishing, apathetic, unpatriotic who are products of the leftist hatred of America...

I swear, one thing I notice more and more is that leftists are quite lacking in patriotism, ie, care for the country itself.

That is fallacious to me, I feel when something is as precious as America, it is worth loving and protecting. And I'm talking about our founding principles when I talk about being patriotic, not blindly supporting our government, but certainly not blindly condemning it, either.

In the case of America, due to its founding ideals, I find patriotism to be a virtue to the cause of freedom and prosperity...and the lack thereof the antonym to such ideals.

Has anyone the wonderful Film/Documentary by Michael Moore "Bowling for Columbine" it gave me a great insight into some of the social problems of your country and how alot of it stems from the Government (more for the rich & less for the poor) and the media with their constant barrage of scare stories. If you haven't seen it you really should, especially the South Park-esque cartoon about the settlers, that is too funny!

actually, the best book on American History, is by far, by Howard Zinn. It's called "A People's History of the United States".

It actually paints the real picture of the US. Recommeded reading for all.
