Damn Rights They Do
Population control. Every 30 seconds someone, usually a kid in a third world nation, dies of Malaria. The third world nations are the biggest contributors to "Green House Gases". Think of it. Some environmentalist is always trying to shove some crap down our throats about fossil fuels and the like. But the last I heard every fricken human on this planet is generating CO2(one of the GH gases) 24 hours a day. And where are most of these people? In third world countries. So if we wipe China, India, and Africa off the face of the map we will be taking a great step for mankind in our quest to reduce 'Global Warming'.
Makes sense to me.

I could be completely off base on this one but most people in third world countries dont run a car or have an electricity supply (so no generator needed).
The numbers that get thrown around alot are:
The USA contains approx. 10% of the worlds population.
The USA is responsible for approx. 25% of the worlds CO2 emissions. Do the maths yourself.....

In response to the first post.....I think mosquitoes serve the same purpose as plants or animals (including humans)....that would be no great purpose.

Purpose: to be annoying fuckers.
I read the other day that bats eat up to 1200 mosquitos per hour... I was thinking about buying a few myself......... we get irrigation here and if that water sits for more than 2.5 - 3 days without draining you need a transfusion after walking through the backyard.

Yeah I know you were joking.......but i had a sense of humour by-pass when I was a kid. Oh and I'm british so whatever sense of humour I did have you prob wouldnt understand anyway.

They serve a purpose, they are the means and vector for transmitting malaria, and the west nile virus and a whole bunch of other deseases. So see, God really does want to kill your ass, and these deliteful creatures are doing the lords will. Wonderful stuff, after all something has to kill you doesn't it? Now yellow jackets and hornets are another matter altogether.....

evil vectors, but bats and dragon flys work well, dragon flys can be kept as pets, if you were in alaska naked the moisquitos would kill you in minutes,

There are over 39 species of bats in the United States with 36 of these species doing a remarkable job of eating mosquitoes and flying insects. The Gray Bat alone can eat as many as 3000 insects per night. In most species, the female bat has only one baby per year. Without the help of man-made bat shelters, these gentle creatures are running out of housing in today's modern world.
