do i just not have the nerve?

dumbass

New member
I use a one inch needle for quad shots and everything is great, unless i push the pin past three quarters. Doesnt seem to matter where on the quad I shoot. Everytime i go deep I hit a nerve. Am i some kind of freak?
I have low bodyfat and thin skin, is three quarters deep enough?

Quads are a sensitive, and difficult place to shoot,

I have given up on quads, all in all

They simply react to funny and basically hurt too much.

Runnin tren huh???? or no?

That is the downfall of quad shots, but I still like to use them for simplicities sake. It is right there in front of my face. No twisting, turning, looking like a moron in the mirror, etc.

I always use a 2 inch 18 gauge and push in until I scrape the bone.

Maybe thats my problem. I will use crackers recipe to deaden my nerves completely and then I wont have these sissy problems anymore.

Quads are always hit or miss for me. Sometimes it feels like i hit a nerve and sometimes its just smooth. As someone else said, I do them because they are right in front of me.

If it feels like you may have hit a nerve, I believe you havent. When i hit a nerve there is absolutely no doubt about it, incoherently the needle is immediately discharged from the vicinity of my body. Its really a reaction I dont seem to have any control over. Like my body is saying get that shit outta here.

Agreed, it's much more likely to be a muscle spasm. Try heating the muscle briefly beforehand and / or massaging it and relax it while injecting. Alternatively, shoot elsewhere.

muscle spasm or pushing through a vein.

I know every time I hit a vein I get just a little pain that feels... different, i usually just push through then aspirate, no blood go to go

i have never understood why so many guys make things more difficult on themselves trying to do quads, biceps, triceps etc injections.

just make things simple and shoot your glute. there is a lot of room for error and you wont be hitting nerves. all the juice ends up in same place anyhow.

+1 to doing this on the outter edge. If you're shooting straight down on the top of your quad you're a better man than me. I can't/won't do that.

I think delts are a great place to shoot myself. Give it a shot. Pun intended :)

lol yah doing EOD or ED injections into TWO injection sites makes LOTS of sense....

let alone the fact that getting back there is a fucking pain in the ass... pun intended... shoulders/quads/calves/bis are all way easier and PAINLESS

the chance of hitting a nerve anywhere is VERY small. Just fucking do it correctly and every site is easy...

You are right, more injections brings about the need for more injection sites. If i was injecting twice a week I could just stick to glutes as mentioned in the other post, but im not.
I am not injecting incorrectly. I dont have a problem anywhere else and I realize that hitting a nerve 80% of the time in my quads seems off, but just fucking doing it correctly doesnt seem to be solving my problem.

Cause I wanna prove I am a real man!!

ya, ya, ya...a guy cant give his opionion here? boy, tough crowd. :o

an opinion is fine if it makes any sense at all...

do you know the kind of scar tissue that would build up over an 8 week cycle in two injection sites... approx 32-56 injections in only two sites...

come on dude....

thats like giving your "opinion" that a dbol only cycle for 10 weeks is a good idea

muscles such as glutes and quads can have multiple site locations bro. just because you hit one spot of the glute doesn't mean you can't hit that same glute in a different spot without a ton of scar tissue building up.

ok one more time.. last response i swear

Yes, You can move around a bit... BUT you only have about 1/4 of ur butt cheek to work with (let's remember basic injection technique shall we, what we should have learned about the second day we started looking into AS)... not only that, but human nature is to use the same spot, you would be surprised how close to the same exact site you use every time, unless u are marking each previous spot with something to tell where it was, i promise u arent moving aroudn as much as you think you are. PLUS the fucking SCIATIC nerve runs through our glutes... i mean fuck the one worst spot to hit in all of your body.

http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/9902/10/sciatica.treatment/link.sciatic.nerve.jpg

I dont even understand how in the fuck this is an argument... Using TWO injection sites only is fucking retarded... if you arent mature enough to know how to properly inject in other body parts, you shouldnt be using AS in the first place.

Use the medial glute. It's plenty distant from the sciatic nerve and easily large enough for two injection spots with a 2" separation. Why would you suggest that someone who is deliberately spacing out their medial glute would be so radically careless as not to know where they shot last or to hit anywhere near the sciatic nerve?

Anyway, for anyone who is using just glutes and injecting relatively infrequently and for whom thigh injections are unpleasant, I can heartily recommend adding side delts to your repertoire. Unless you're doing daily shots, side delts and medial glutes offer sufficient entry points.

I fully agree, though, EOD into two spots is both unwise and unnecessary.

Ok well perhaps its getting close to a nerve? I push the pin in slowly just so I dont jab it full force into a nerve.
