do canadians lock their doors?

p0ink

New member
apparently canadians leave their homes unlocked when they go out? is this true? do you canadians leave your place unlocked when you go to work?

I have friends who live in small towns. They never lock thier doors (house, or car)

I live in a medium sized city, and you bet your ass I lock my door everytime I go out. Even if it's just to run down to 711 for five minutes...

Where did you hear this information, pOink?

You are very misinformed. My wife was born and raised near Toronto, and yes they locked their doors.

He's talking about a part from Michael Moore's latest pseudo-documentary, "Bowling for Columbine".

i never claimed this to be fact, i was simply stating what a fat, communist, shithead says in his movie, "bowling for columbine."

according to him, canada is a better place, because you people dont lock your doors and your whole country is just like one gian family. certainly not like our dirty, violent, gun crazed, bible thumping, bush loving, capitalist society (or so he says).

its gotten bad lately,my grandmother stays home while my grandpa works grading fields and what not,and she now has to lock her doors in a village of 125 people because there was someone going around thier breaking in and raping old women

and all the cops know is he is jamacian

Hello its fucking tobacco country they are everywhere hitting on anything with pountang

This reminds me of that Molson Canadian commercial:

Some ugly American broad approaches a guy holding a Molson Canadian at a party.

Her: Oh, you're from Canada? Do you know Bob, from Canada? He works in an office, in Canada?

Him: Oh yeah, Office Bob....he's dead.

The guy casually walks away swigging his beer. Funny shit I tells ya.

Do Americans know they are dumb as fuck?

I like Micheal Moore, he cracks me up.

Roger and Me was awesome.

I suspect the East Coast is the only place where people can still feel comfortable leaving their doors unlocked. Funny enough, we're probably the region with the highest gun ownership. Go figure.

yeah it was. funny, yet disturbing. And let me tell you, detroit is still as fucked up now as it was then.

No it's not! It has a family atmosphere....if you belong to the mob.

lol. I was on a project in detroit two months ago. I walked around downtown looking for a GNC. Of course I got lost for an hour. I found myself wondering if property in Beruit was more expensive than some of the buildings I saw. Conmerica Park stood out like a sore thumb, it was new and everything else looked like it was made in the 40's. I don't think I'll be going back there again.

yeah, it is pretty rough if you get away from the center of the city. Ford Field looks good, and with the casinos, it is getting much better. Greektown is pretty nice too....but all in all Detroit is a hole..not nightlife besides the casinos down there. They are really trying to change it and build up the riverfront.

What type of project?

It was called in to help out one of our teams doing some work for ford. I stayed primarily in our office off of broadway and larned (sp?). Greektown was pretty nice, there's a killer pizza place there.... I forgot the name of it. The casino was nice, there were quite a bit of people in there when I checked it out.

But there were too many bums for my liking. I live right next to DC so I have a lot of bum expereince, but downtown Detroit was overkill. They were very obnoxious, kinda like HG Pennypacker at an male strip club.

Pizza Popolis.

Half of those bums drive away in Caddies!

Yeah, just what I'm going to do... tell somebody who's told me he's armed where I live. ;) Funny how people in this area of the country are armed but we don't shoot each other. Well at least not very often. I'd always lock my doors if I lived in Halifax though.
