do asthma inhalers hinder gains while on sust?

Inhalers usually have very small doses of either bronchodilators or corticosteroids, your friend is probably using salmeterol. Each puff provides 25 MICROGRAMS of it, and you shouldn't worry about gains. Even inhaled steroids like Beclovent, Pulmicort, etcc.. deliver low doses that usually don't have a systemic effect ( when used properly).
Severe asthma, however, can put some resistence to muscular development due to poor oxygen delivery to the cells.

Salbutamol sulphate
I think thats a brand name of Salbutamol sulfate.

As a bronchodilator I don't think it has any corticosteroids.
I don't think that this should affect lifting accept if he uses too much of it during a workout.

Im not trying to flame anyone here for trying to help but Salmeterol and Novo-Salmol are two completley different drugs. Novo-Salmol is a Selective Beta-2 agonist with Sympathomimetic properties. Salmeterol on the other had is a Corticosteroid. These drugs have completley different indications and functions. Beta-2 agonist work as a bronchodialator and improve lung function, as in asthma. In answer to your question, there has not been any scientific info that this will hinder gains, So I would say No. I give this to patients everyday; you should do fine with it.

Good luck
